  • Easy to use, Great quality and Amazing Value
The media could not be loaded. I didn't buy this Gimbal to save money. I bought it specifically to use with the A7c and keep my video rig as light as possible. I film content creation so I am holding this thing for hours and hours. The SC is lighter than the pro models and one of the lightest gimbals that can load up to 4 lbs. It's easy to use, very sturdy and the motors have great durability. You can set 3 different custom modes, the mobile app lets you fine-tune each setting and get it the way you want. I like the simplicity. I don't need LCD screens on my gimbal. I just need 3 modes. POV/sport - Pan only - and 360. It has bonus features like tracking with your phone, wireless control, and panorama. I haven't really used these much. The Pano feature is a bit complicated. Balancing is relatively easy. Once you get the hang of it. It took me about 3 tries and I've gotten good enough at balancing to change prime lenses in the middle of filming and balance in less than a minute. The footage is a bit smoother than the DJI OM4 I phone Gimbal. I had no jitters but you could see the walking patterns. Premiere pro cleans up most of it but if you want ultra smooth you'll want the Sony software. If you're using this with other cameras, Premiere auto Stabilization will work 75% of the time. I messed up in this example clip, but what you want to do is record B-roll type stuff in 60 FPS and slow it down to 30 and the movement will be much smoother than in my clip. ... show more

  • GREAT QUALITY!!
This gimbal is a game changer! The stabilization it provides for videos is awesome!! It is easily interchangeable between the tripod, handheld and the gimbal. Initial set up of the gimbal can be a bit tricky and there are multiple tutorial videos that helped me guide through it to get it set. It does add some weight to the set up and its not heavy. ... show more

  • Mechanically works great with my Nikon D7500 and lightweight Nikon AF-P zoom lenses.
28JAN2024. Loving this DJI Ronin-SC camera gimbal with it's approximate four pound maximum payload. This gimbal works fine mechanically (balances and controls well with arm and wrist movements) with my Nikon D7500 DX DLSR and the Nikon lightweight 10-20mm AF-P and 15-55mm AF-P lenses (the body, battery, and SD card, with each lens, weighs about two pounds). Even balanced the D7500 DX CLSR with the heavier 16-80mm F2.8-4 zoom Nikon lens. The D7500 does not have the phone connectivity of say the Nikon D500 so I was not looking for nor expecting phone connectivity or control. I selected this nearly four year old gimbal which is quite discounted from it's original price four years ago, because of its price. I even balanced my heavier Nikon FD750 FX body on this gimbal with small fixed focal length lenses the 28-120mm F4 lens is heavy and really strains the gimbal motors, so I do not use it, thought it does balance), but the tall "mirror box hump" does not allow full range of motion such as going from the ground to eye level. However, for normal horizontal panning and such, this combination works well. I had a smaller Zyun Crane-2 Gimbal (using only with my Android Smartphones now) which was rated for the weight of my D7500 DX DLSR with AF-P lenses at two pounds (which often forced the motors to shut down, losing balance). I have since learned that a gimbal's maximum capacity is not the total picture (picture, see what I did there? Haha. ) with gimbals. Center of gravity with respect to the lens and body is perhaps more important than just the maximum capacity. I think gimbals should be rated for maximum weight if the center of gravity is directly over the base mounting arm of the gimbal, then rated for maximum weight for each one-quarter inch the center of gravity extends forward of the base mounting plate. But I am a data analyst by trade so what to I know? This gimbal will easily handle my Panasonic HC-V785 Full HD camcorder. What, you never thought of using a gimbal with a camcorder and it's excellent auto-focus compared to DLSR's? I like the two NATO studs on the sides of this gimbal. I plan to mount a light and mic on one side (with a short arm and multi-cold shoe adapter), and a handle on the other one. ... show more

  • DJI Ronin Gimbal
This little gadget is perfect for bloggers and instagramers whose content needs to look professional. It attaches to most DSLR cameras and adds a clean smooth movement - no more bouncing when walking or hand shaking movements. It's very lightweight and, once you can navigate the initial set up, which does require some patience as you have to make sure the gimbal is balanced with your camera, otherwise it won't be as effective, you won't want to put this gadget down. This is a must for learners and professionals alike. I would definitely purchase again. ... show more

  • Why does dovetail slider plate not slide in? I found answer.
From reddit: "There's an adjuster on the bottom of the receiver for the mounting plate that appears to be for moving the receiver from side to side but it's also the tension mechanism that locks the mounting plate from moving fore and aft once in position. It's not obvious and I futzed around for a bit trying to figure it out. I found this post while trying to google to issue." ... show more

  • Warning: Not compatible with Sony ZV-E10
Just spent the better part of the afternoon trying to get this to work with the Sony ZV-E10. Finally, we called the manufacturer who said this model was not compatible with that camera and to buy the DJI RS3 Mini instead. It appears to be a very well made piece of equipment so no complaints on that front. It would be nice if Amazon updated their website to reflect this. ... show more

  • great investment!
nothing I dislike honestly. its easy to use and set up. If you're changing your camera setup with different lenses, it may get old having to balance perfectly every time, but if you have 1 configuration you're going to run with it on the gimbal then its definitely well worth getting. great for beginners! ... show more
