    • Great Moxon vise kit at a really good price.
I think this is a great kit for the price. Everything you need to make a Moxon vise is included with the exception of instructions on how to make a Moxon vise. YouTube is your friend for that information. It's a very simple vise to make and anyone with basic knowledge of shaping wood using saws, chisels, planes, sandpaper, etc can make one without much issue. Most ACME threads I've seen are not black like these, but they seem to work just fine and operate properly when used with the parts in the kit. The wheels and wheel handles are smooth chrome and are very sturdy. The wheels spin smoothly on the rods - I used light machine oil during assembly - and if you use the handles, they operate smoothly as well. Moxon vise kits can be pretty expensive, so the $40-ish price tag for this one is a great deal. It is more than durable for lifetime use in a home workshop provided it is treated and used with reasonable care. Easy recommendation! ... show more

    • Missing parts, not as described
The package was missing one of the turning handles. And the attachment for the handles themselves is less than ideal since the nut doesn’t actually sit flush on the opposite side of the wheel. I tried returning it but it would have cost me another $8 so I decided to just keep it. As another reviewer said, it does not use acme threading as the description says. ... show more

This is not a me thread. It’s black painted all thread. Zero effort by them to package it without parts falling out before it gets to you. Don’t waste your money
