I got this for a hospitalized friend who wanted to listen to his music rather than watch what passes for entertainment on daytime TV during his months long stay in the hospital. It had good ratings and a reasonable price so I chose it for him. My friend and I were both very pleasantly surprised at the how good it sounded, how loud it could get without being distorted and how easy it is to use. It paired with his Android phone very quickly and easily and ran for hours and hours before needing a charge. Now that he is home, he uses this outside and is very pleased with the amount of sound it puts out, even in wide open spaces. All in all it's a great package; it produces sound at a quality and volume much more than it's size would suggest, runs for hours before needing a charge and seems quite sturdy. IMO; five stars.

For a small, portable speaker, it packs some pretty good sound. Punches above its class quite well. It obviously does not compare to more beefy systems, but for its consistent price over the years and its simple setup and usage, it absolutely is worth the money. I have purchased two of these over the years - one in 2018, and again in 2025. I'm pleasantly surprised to see the newly purchased one adopted a USB-C port for charging, despite the model inherently listing micro USB which my original purchase has. Everything still holds up and it is great for smaller environment usage. Easy to connect, has 3.5mm input for speaker usage, usage time is accurate. My only complaint is the power on/off and BT sounds play at incredibly loud volume, regardless of what level the speaker is set to.

Great sound and look in compact speaker

Super small with a lot of sound, looks very nice and blends in well on my desk. It’s great in a small space like my office, which is where I wanted it so that’s perfect. However, it’s so cute and sounded so good in my office, I wanted to use it more so brought it to the kitchen with me to enjoy while making dinner. The sound is not great once in the larger space. Completely fair and reasonable for the size and price. Just be aware for your intended use. In a room like a bedroom, office or other smallish space, I think it’s fantastic actually: lots of sound for the size and price. Don’t expect this to be able to sound good in a larger space such as a great room or other expansive area. It becomes muffled sounding. Not a criticism, especially at this price, just awareness. The close up photo with ruler distorted the speaker cover, included so you can see it’s only 6.5” long. Really compact!!

Great portable speaker with solid bass and battery life — just a few small quirks

I’ve been using the Anker Soundcore 2 for a few weeks now and it’s become my go-to speaker for outdoor hangs, the shower, and even some backyard get-togethers. The stereo sound is surprisingly full for something this size, and BassUp technology actually delivers noticeable low-end without sounding muddy. IPX7 waterproofing is a real plus—I accidentally left it in the rain once and it was completely fine. Battery life easily hits the claimed 24 hours on moderate volume, which is impressive. Pairing is quick and the Bluetooth range is solid through walls. It’s compact, lightweight, and the rubberized exterior feels durable. Volume is loud enough for most situations, and the dual drivers give it a nicer stereo effect than many single-driver budget speakers. Why not 5 stars? The bass can get a little boomy on certain tracks if you push the volume too high, and there’s no companion app for EQ tweaks. Also, the micro-USB charging port feels a bit outdated in 2026. Minor stuff, but worth noting. Overall, for the price this is an excellent everyday speaker. Highly recommend if you want something reliable, waterproof, and long-lasting without spending a fortune.

Surprisingly good speaker!

I've been really impressed with the Soundcore 2, especially considering how affordable it is compared to some of the bigger-name Bluetooth speakers out there. I wasn't expecting anything extraordinary from a speaker this size, but it definitely exceeded my expectations in several areas. It's not perfect, and there are a couple of things worth mentioning, but overall I think it's a great value for what you're paying. The sound quality is probably the biggest surprise. For such a compact speaker, it produces a surprisingly full and clear sound. The highs come through nicely without being overly sharp, and vocals are easy to understand even when there's a lot going on in the background of a song. The mids are pretty well balanced too, which makes a noticeable difference when listening to music with a lot of instruments. The bass is decent considering the size, although I wouldn't expect it to compete with a larger speaker or anything with a dedicated subwoofer. There's enough low end to give music some depth, but you're obviously not going to get the kind of bass that you can feel in your chest. At moderate volumes, everything sounds fairly balanced. Once you start pushing the volume toward its maximum, the sound can lose some of that fullness, particularly in bass-heavy songs. That's not really unusual for a speaker this small, though. One thing I appreciate is that it works well with different types of music. Whether you're listening to rock, country, hip-hop, or even podcasts, the sound is generally clear and enjoyable. It doesn't seem to favor one particular genre too heavily.

Lives in my golf bag — years later the battery still comes back ready

I bought this Anker Soundcore 2 in December 2021, and it still lives in my golf bag. I use it when I play, and I’m still using it today — nearly five years on. For a portable Bluetooth speaker, that long stretch of real-world abuse is the useful part of the story. Battery is the standout. It holds a charge really well — “lasts forever” in practical terms. I can go about two months without playing and still expect juice when I pull it out. I’d even be confident leaving it six months and coming back to find it held a charge. Water resistance matters for golf-bag life too, and that’s been fine. The listing pitches IPX7 waterproofing, long playtime, and a compact grab-and-go design. For how I use it, the standby battery and toughness matter more than lab playtime numbers. It’s also very good value, and it’s turned into brand loyalty: I’ve bought four Anker/Soundcore speaker products now, and they’ve all been fantastic. Five stars for the long-term reliability, the golf-bag battery behavior, and the fact that I’m still happily using this one.

I use the Soundcore 2 mainly while working on my bike, and it’s become one of my favorite garage tools. The speaker has plenty of power — loud enough to cut through tool noise without distorting, and the bass feels surprisingly strong for its size. Functionality is spot‑on: quick Bluetooth pairing, stable connection, and the long battery life means I can wrench for hours without thinking about charging. The IPX7 rating is a bonus since I don’t worry about water, oil mist, or dust. Overall, it makes working on the bike way more enjoyable. Great sound, tough build, and dependable performance.
