These are by far the best headphones I've had so far. Noise canceling workings great and easy to pair with any device I need them for. The case they come in is great and so far hold up going from home to work to home on a daily bases. Can not wait to try them on the plane, cross country.

I've had quite a few headphones through the years. My current Studio favorite is the Sony MDR-7506 using a headphone amp for critical listening however it is not ANC. I had a Bose ANC QC and liked them however these Sony's 1000XM5's out-perform the Bose on every level. Clarity, ANC, and especially bass. The app is a bonus with numerous options that can enhance the overall experience. For most of the music I listen to the 1000XM5's provide a deeply immersive experience. For the money I feel much more would need to be spent to beat this value ... show more

Genuine Sony wh-1000 xm5’s, they last the 30 hours promised. Used them for runs and working out and they are great. Only thing I don’t like about them is that they flip with the ear cup facing up and not down and I guess they get greasy pretty easily but that just might be a me issue. Noise cancellation is good but obviously doesn’t block out every single sound when using and the ambient modes pretty nice too. The software allows you to customize how much bass is in the headset or what type of vibe you like, it’s actually pretty cool, there’s a lot of customizability with these. I’ve had the Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones for about a year now, and they’ve easily become one of my favorite pieces of tech. Pros: Top-Tier Sound – Clear highs, rich mids, and just the right amount of bass. Whether I’m listening to music, podcasts, or watching movies, the audio is consistently excellent. Outstanding Noise Cancellation – The Auto NC Optimizer works like a charm, especially on flights or in noisy environments. It genuinely makes a difference. Seamless Connectivity – They pair quickly and reliably, and (as far as I can tell) support simultaneous connection to two Bluetooth devices. No lag or hiccups between my phone and laptop. Cross-Platform Compatibility – Works great with Apple devices, Android, Mac, and PC. The included cable is long enough for most situations and has been totally trouble-free. Long Battery Life – I regularly go several days without charging, even with heavy use. No complaints there. Travel-Friendly Case – The included case is well-designed, durable, and perfect for keeping everything safe on the go. Cons: Not Great for Side-Lying or Resting Against Surfaces – If you try to wear them while leaning against a window or lying on your side, you’ll start to feel discomfort. The cups are plush but not immune to pressure points. Call Quality is Just OK – It works, but the mic tends to pick up surrounding noise during calls. The media could not be loaded. Product doesn’t work. I applied for a payment plan on these WH-1000XM5‘s and they came in the mail within 2 days. When i got them i wasn’t able to turn them on. I looked up videos about how to make them work by charging them for a few hours, I tried the factory reset, i tried different chargers, I tried waiting for the orange light to turn on while it was charging, etc. but still to no avail. I will say i did hook up the aux cord to the headphones and it worked via aux cord but still did not turn on for bluetooth features. ... show more

I got some silicone covers for them just to make sure they last forever, but these are the best headphones I've ever heard. I used to run live sound, and I tune pianos, so I know a decent amount about the physics of sound. I love that you can create your own EQ in the app, and you can literally hear every single instrument. The mic on these is the best for Bluetooth headphones, and while Bose might have slightly better noise cancellation, it does not compare in sound quality or microphone quality. Best in the market overall. I have the AirPods Pro Max the Powerbeats Pro/Pro 2, AirPods Pro/Pro 2 and have owned Bose over the ear headphones in the past. These are the best headphones I’ve ever used for airplane travel. Literally unmatched for 2 reasons: 1. They are ultra light. I wore them for a 14 hr flight without taking them off and had zero neck or ear problems. I cannot say the same for the AirPods Pro Max which are heavy and cannot be turned off. 2. They have excellent and intuitive ear cup controls. Even with an iPhone, it’s a great experience using them and their battery life is incredible. 3. They come with an airplane connector.
