If you want your little one to play around and take pictures on their own, this is a good camera to start them off with. It is easy enough to use and works well. Didn't even realize there are games on this camera until my little one accidentally started one of the games. The navigation through the menus and other features of the camera could be a made a little more simple but it is not too bad. The picture quality is not great but you really can't expect much for the price and for really being a toy camera that actually can take pictures. It is very light weight and is good for little hands. One thing I think that could be changes is having a cover for the memory card slot. I had to put some clear gorilla tape over the memory card slot just so my little one will not take out the memory card and have it get lost or worse put it in her mouth. The functionality is good, it comes with some nice filters and themes to use, which is entertaining for children. It also comes with selfie camera to able to take selfies. The best part is it comes with inbuilt rechargeable lithium ion battery with a USB cord (no adapter), most kids cameras (popular brands) comes with AA batteries and they make the cameras very heavy to be able to carry. It is an average quality, all plastic built and not much (or no) bump protection at all. But there is a constant deals on this item which makes it a decent value at around 20 bucks, especially with features it comes with. There are also games but difficult to play with small screen, children will play with it anyway. ... show more

I purchased this in Sept for my grandson as a Christmas gift. We were so disappointed and annoyed the camera will not work - as the battery will not take a charge after repeated attempts. As I am past the 30- days for return I cannot even get a replacement for a defective item.

The overall operation and build of this camera seems fairly sturdy and like it would hold up well for a kid. It includes a 32gb SD card, a USB SD adapter, a charging cable, a lanyard, and a reset pin. Depending on the "size" settings, the images we took were about 650k to 1800k in size, meaning you will be able to fit a huge number of images on the included SD card. The camera came with a partial charge, so we were able to begin using it right away. It has a bunch of fun filters/effects that the little one found very entertaining. She did not seem overly interested in the games however, and commented that were pretty hard to see on the small display. We found the digital zoom a bit tough to set to an exact amount, as you long press up or down and release to stop. This makes it tricky to stop at an exact zoom factor. We tried a few times to set it to 4x, but couldn't get it to stop there. It always seemed to want to stop at 3.6x or 4.2x. The images were taken with the camera set at its highest size (48M or 8000x6000). The first photo is at resolution "VGA", the second 720p, and the third 1080p. I have a very difficult time telling them apart. Windows file explorer reports 96dpi horizontal and vertical resolutions. The picture format is JPG and I do not see where in the manual or settings to change this. I am assuming the low quality of the images are a result of a high amount of compression. This is more apparent when copying them to a PC to view on a larger display. The images look pretty much okay when viewed on the camera's small screen however. We had very little luck trying to copy the images directly of of the camera when plugged into a PC with the included USB cable. Many of the images would not copy over due to "I/O errors." We had much better luck removing the SD card from the camera and using the included USB SD adapter to transfer the images to a PC. Using this method, they all copied over without issue. Since it takes fairly low quality images, this is probably better for someone very young, or for viewing and playing with the images on the camera itself. ... show more
