This was the easiest thing I've ever put together. I loved the way the instructions were written out and how everything came that I needed. I used my power tools that had an Allen head attachment to make it faster but if you don't have one they provide everything you need! Great price!

Edit 12/7/23: Still solid as a rock. Very little frame movement when repositioning one's self while sleeping. My mattress did slide around a little, so I bought several metal mattress gaskets. They attached to the frame easily, and now there's absolutely no mattress slide. My original review from August 2023: I am really impressed with this bedframe, so far. It was a breeze to build alone, and I didn't need to use my own tools. The bedframe looked great when I was done, but it was simply hilarious when I placed my mattress on the frame. It is TALL. Frankly, it looks a bit ridiculous, but the extra storage is amazing. I can fit a bunch of storage bins under this thing. Please consider the height of the 18 inch frame plus the height of your mattress before ordering. The bedframe arrived in a surprisingly compact box, for which I was grateful. Please note: this bedframe is just about designed for stubbed toes, with its legs placed directly under the sides. Foam padding for baby-proofing a home is a simple solution. That's what I did after my stubbed my toe the first time. No regrets. Sturdy and solid, and no bedframe noises from moving repositioning one's self in bed. ... show more

This was perfect in my girls' room, where we bought a bunk bed that was setup for a single mattress up top and optionally could put a desk, play things, or another bed under. We opted to do a full sized bed underneath and wanted a low profile frame to set a mattress on so it wasn't too close to the top bunk, and this did the trick! It is super sturdy (better than I imagined) and was very easy to assemble (easier than I imagined). This thing is HEAVY with all the metal and came in a corrugated plastic box because it weighed too much for cardboard, which was nice because it came completely undamaged or scratched. Are you heavy? Fat? Does your personal life require certain durability 'considerations?' Just stop looking now because your search has brought you to the last place you need to be: here. I've been a bigger man for almost the entirety of my 40 years and even if I were thin, I'd still prefer a partner to be on the heavier side. That said, I've purchased 'heavy duty' platform frames before and all of them are loud. All of them just feel inferior and eventually they all pop welds. Some are easier to assemble than others, and some require no assembly at all. The one thing they all seem to have in common are this: larger folks have to be really careful or their beds will get LOUD. I modified a bed once to support the mattress because I loved the frame, but even modified, wood platform beds kind of suck for heavier folk. A good welded steel frame is the best option. Enter this platform: it's heavy duty, it's SUPER simple to assemble (it comes with all the hardware and tools you need, but if you have your own I'd recommend using your good tools), and so far it's felt truly SOLID. I am not going to try, but I'm confident you could park a small car on the frame without it collapsing or breaking welds. I've had this platform for only 8 days and set up for 7, but I've tested the durability twice and we rated it 50/50. And another once we gave it 34/33/33. Trust me, you will NOT be disappointed! I will edit this after I have had it for a year but honestly, I can already tell this is going to be the last platform I'll need to buy for a very long time. ... show more

PROS: --Easy to put together, sturdy, low profile, simple/minimalistic design, inexpensive (exactly what I was looking for) CONS: --The mattress slips from side to side. I had to purchase Non-Slip Mattress Gaskets from Amazon to keep the mattress on the frame. It works like a charm. --You're going to stub your toe on the "legs". Easy fix - I purchased 1-inch pipe insulation (looks like a black pool noodle) from a home improvement store (sprinkler section). It was about $4. Cut it with scissors and wrap it around the legs. It looks great and is covered by the comforter. It also saves you from adding money to the swear jar. And when you do kick it, it feels like you've just kicked a stuffed animal. ... show more
