Purchased this bed frame to go inside of my platform bed to hold my memoryfoam mattress. And I'm pleased. Its sturdy (I'm 200lbs.) And move around alot when I sleep. No frame movement nor squeaking. It was easy for my son to put together and and definitely worth the money. A greay buy!

This metal bed frame (ours is a queen) was easy to assemble, is sturdy, and doesn't make noise. The one issue we had was that the mattress does tend to slide to the opposite side when you're getting in or out of bed. I had read about this in other reviews, so I bought a set of FSCHOS non-slip mattress gaskets on Amazon. They're metal and attach to the metal frame and keep the mattress from moving. Problem solved! They come as a set of 6. Two on each side and two at the foot of the bed. If you have a headboard, you don't need them at the head of the bed. Some people complained that they scraped their legs on the mattress gaskets when getting out of bed. It seems clear to me that they had installed them in the wrong places. I put mine about 6 inches from the corners on the sides, and about 8 inches from the corners on the foot of the bed. This keeps them quite far from where you would be getting in or out of bed, and they are great positions for keeping the mattress from moving.

Are you heavy? Fat? Does your personal life require certain durability 'considerations?' Just stop looking now because your search has brought you to the last place you need to be: here. I've been a bigger man for almost the entirety of my 40 years and even if I were thin, I'd still prefer a partner to be on the heavier side. That said, I've purchased 'heavy duty' platform frames before and all of them are loud. All of them just feel inferior and eventually they all pop welds. Some are easier to assemble than others, and some require no assembly at all. The one thing they all seem to have in common are this: larger folks have to be really careful or their beds will get LOUD. I modified a bed once to support the mattress because I loved the frame, but even modified, wood platform beds kind of suck for heavier folk. A good welded steel frame is the best option. Enter this platform: it's heavy duty, it's SUPER simple to assemble (it comes with all the hardware and tools you need, but if you have your own I'd recommend using your good tools), and so far it's felt truly SOLID. I am not going to try, but I'm confident you could park a small car on the frame without it collapsing or breaking welds. I've had this platform for only 8 days and set up for 7, but I've tested the durability twice and we rated it 50/50. And another once we gave it 34/33/33. Trust me, you will NOT be disappointed! I will edit this after I have had it for a year but honestly, I can already tell this is going to be the last platform I'll need to buy for a very long time.
