These were perfect replacement spindles for my older Craftsman mower deck. Installation was a breeze. They are well made and balanced for zero vibration assuming your blades are also balanced and straight. These spindles do NOT come filled with grease so you MUST fill them with all-purpose grease before using and repeat about every 50 hours of use. Just fill them through the Zerk fittings on top until the grease squirts out into the bottom dust caps. They should last for the life of your mower with regular greasing. ... show more

Perfect fit for craftsman YTD 3000 riding mower deck. My only concern is it had mixed reviews if it was pre packed with grease or needed to be packed?? The description said pre packed but reviews said it needs to be. It took a lot of grease, so I’m guessing it was dry from factory. Glad I did. It sounds better than the original equipment.. The originals had no grease fittings, so the bearings wore out. These new ones have grease fittings, so I greased them immediately. I hardly even hear the mower deck engage now it's so smooth. As far as installing them, It was fairly easy but I am mechanically inclined. If you arent you better have a friend install them . But anyhow they work great. ... show more

I bought a set of these for my Craftsman YTS4000 and a set for my YTS3000, they fit perfectly work very quietly now. The bearings on the old ones were steaming… These new spindles come with all the nuts and bolts needed to complete the job. You will need a good set of tools, a piece of wood stud or other wood to stop the blade from spinning when you loosen the old nuts/bolts and when you tighten the new hardware. An air hammer helps to get old rusted hardware off etc. if you have not done this job before I highly recommend watching several YouTube videos first to get some good tips etc. The mower deck needs to be lowered and the mounting clips need to be removed plus the belt needs to come off the engine pulley before dropping the deck down and sliding out from underneath the mower. These spindles are great quality and even have a handy grease fitting to help them last longer. Good luck. ... show more

This is my second set of spindles. I went ahead and just bought the whole set again as one of mine (my fault) got messed up when my blade nut came loose. These are WAY better than the originals!! They have a zerk grease fitting whereas the originals don’t. It doesn’t matter what order you install them either as they’re all the same. So I have a couple spare spindle assemblies. ... show more
