This is the second set I have used and the third I have purchased. I originally bought two and forgot that I had the second one stored away and bought a third. Anyway. The first said I bought worked fine. Then I went to use them again and they didn't work very well. I inspected them and found that both blades had cracked were quite banged up and should have been sharpened and rusted badly. So I would recommend you inspect them after each use and rotate them as needed and sharpen them as needed ... show more

I had to drill out the screws holding the old blades (pretty sure the prior owner had never done any maintenance) but that went surprisingly well. With fresh blades in place the chipper cuts fast, doesn’t plug up, and never jammed.

Some ace in your marketing department bundled this item with a 603e chipper. So you'll be getting this back. No hint on the actual configuration of the 603 vs. 601 until you get it in hand. In this day and age, does your boss wave negative reviews in your face during performance appraisals? This 601 blade is not compatible with a 603 chipper. Not even close. ... show more

Based on a visual compression to the blades in my new chipper it looks like they will fit. they arrived in a sealed plastic bag with blades and screws in separate sections. Based on a visual compare I am happy. I usually buy 'spare' consumable parts when I get a new item as I never know if it will still be in production when I actually need it ... show more
