  • Made in Vietnam not the USA
Style: Push
I really like this mower blade it seems to be of good quality but what really sold me on this is that it said it was made in the USA but upon further inspection, the sticker says “Made in VIETNAM Designed in the USA” isn’t that false advertisement?

  • Much better than the OEM blade
Style: Push
I installed this blade on a Toro recycler mower. After spending $300 on maintenance, including new drive belt and cable and new geared rear wheels, I was about ready to sell this mower and buy a Honda. But then I installed this blade. It is so much better than the OEM blade and similar replacements. I operate my mower as a bagger except when I mow a long strip of public land, when I mulch. In bagging mode, the clippings are much finer and I am able to mow longer before dumping the bag. The mower hasn't yet left rows of clippings along the sides of my path like with the old blade. I mow the public land less frequently and there is one section that gets especially long and thick with weeds. With the old blade, the mower would bog down in this section and I had to mow very slowly. The new blade cuts right through it with barely a change in engine speed or effort. This blade has given my mower new life and saved me $800-1,000 for a new mower. UPDATE: I cut in mulching mode for the first time. The grass was short to medium length. The result was excellent. I could not have done this with the factory style blade. I always considered this mower to be poor when it came to mulching but I no longer feel that way with this blade. ... show more

  • Good quality, could come with a better edge
Style: Push
Did a full refresh on the push mower, including some new shields under the cutting deck and added this new blade as my old one was more than depleted and resharpening again seemed misguided with the other new parts and the nominal cost of the blade. Blade didn't come as sharp as I'd hoped and while certainly sharp, I did to a few passes with a handheld sharpener to bring it up a bit. Pretty aggressive mulching "flutes" that stick up and I was initially concerned it would clear the deck on my Toro, but fitment was no issue and went on without a hitch. First mow yielded an immediate and impressive improvement in the mulching performance. Admittedly, this is in no small part due to the other new shields below the deck to keep the clippings in the blade area below the deck, but I'm also quite sure the steeper/more aggressive mulching "flutes" on the upper section of the blade help. This blade seems to mulch grass much more finely and allows the clippings to more easily settle into the lawn cleanly, with little to no clumping. However, I have also noticed that if I miss a mow, one has to be less aggressive as it seems easier to big down. For example, we had few days of rain in a row, so mowing three days late after a healthy drink for the lawn), and I couldn't do full passes without getting some bogging down and clumping. 2/3rds width passes allowed me to get through the thick, slightly damp-with-dew, lawn, but likely could have raised the mow height too. Just be aware that aggressive mulching seems to have this counterpoint. Has kept an edge fine, after about 10 mows. Overall, another fine Oregon product (use their chains on my chainsaw) and seems well with the purchase cost. ... show more

  • It's like I have a new lawn mower-Great blade
Style: Push
I've have a Toro 20332 Personal Pace mulcher mower that I bought a couple years ago. I hated this mower. I cut my grass quite often but in the spring or when we get a lot of rain in the summer or fall, the grass gets very lush with a lot of moisture in it. When I used this Toro mower, the grass would just accumlate in the top of the mower housing and would just run slower and slower until it stopped and then it would dump a big round pile of grass on the ground where the mower died. I would end up with these big round piles of grass all around my yard and they had to be cleaned up because they were so thick. I wouldn't even use the Toro unless we hadn't had much rain and the grass was very dry. It would work okay in those condisitons. I've had this problem since the mower was brand new. When the grass was lush, I wouldn't even use the Toro anymore. I would get out my 12 year old Yard Man mulching mower where the rubber had come off all the wheels and the wheels were very wobbly. At least it would cut the grass without the problem of the grass accumlating in the housing and leaving big pils of grass clippings around the yard. I thought the problem was with the design of the mower housing and I was so fed up with the Toro that I was thinking about just giving it to anybody that would take it. I was using the Toro a few weeks ago because we had been in drought conditions and the grass was so dry that the Toro would work okay in that situation. I hit something with the mower and it bent my blade. I though I would try replacing it with the Oregon blade after reading the reviews. Then we got about 4 inces of rain from the remnints of Hurricane Isaac and the grass was very thick and lush again. I would never have even thought of bringing the Toro out to cut that kind of grass but decided to put the new Oregon blade on and give it a try. It completely eliminated my problem of the grass accumlating in the top of the housing. I never thought that the blade could be what was causing my problem. If your're having a problem with your Toro like I was having, you have to get this blade. You just have to and it was 4.00 cheaper than the Toro OEM blade on Amazon. I would think that Toro would test these mowers on all types of grass before selling them. Its a shame they sell this mower with such an inferior blade. Its like having a brand new lawn mower. Thanks Oregon and shame on you Toro. Note: The Toro would work fine if we hadn't had m ... show more
