Update 6/9/24: Stylus for Core i5 version is bugged according to service and inoperable for the time being. Couldnt get either of my stylus's to work on the screen. So far a very good use of $700. The 12th gen Intel Core i5 is equipped with 10 cores and is very powerful and when teamed with 16gb RAM is blazing fast. Overall quality is great. Love the anti glare screen. Backlit keyboard is great too. And the resolution is awesome (2k) and aided by Intel Iris XE graphics. Very satisfied. Only problem is I see that a few Russian Intel apps are installed in the Windows store that are Un installable. I didn't want them on my computer ...

As a software engineer, I have a lot of business travel and work at customer's field on site. A portable and long battery life laptop device is necessary for me. At the beginning, I was thinking to purchase Surface Pro 9, but 16G RAM and 512G SSD almost cost 1800$, which is too expensive for me. Finally I happen to find the OX9 2 in 1 laptop device, with Intel Core 12th Gen i5, 16G RAM and 1TB SSD, it only cost half of Surface Pro 9, so I decided to try it out. When I received the pakage 10 days ago, I can't wait to activate the device and run the regular software tool (VS Code). This device runs fast and quietly, with acceptable surface temperature and very little noise. The battery is 45W, can last around 6hrs with heavy power consumption app. Another aspect I like is it's size, 13inch 3:2 is golden size for 2 in 1 laptop, totally enough for daily work and light entertainment. It also has light weight with detachable keyboard and easy to carry during business trip. To summary, OX9 2 in 1 laptop is really a great and affordable device. It definately worth more exposure.

My excitement was partially misplaced. At first glance, the tablet looks good. A sturdy built in kickstand is a plus vs the folio style on a lot of other devices. The keyboard is backlit. Again, a plus. The screen is also nice and either has a matte coating or I missed peeling it. Most of the flaws I could easily overlook. No micro sd which I knew before I bought. Only usb c, also knew. The keyboard tray is jagged which is not a big deal as I can ignore that. Windows doesn't detect the keyboard being folded back or detached for the touch keyboard to work correctly. Annoying but I just set it to always pop up if I touch a text field. I don't understand this though, as my Acer switch 5 from like 2017 did this properly. Then I found the things that were hard deal breakers. Plugging in a usb c drive eats half the battery in under an hour. I've never seen that before. This tablet also gets so hot its painful to touch as the cooling is in adequate for charging or anything more than light browsing. There is a bug in the bios that you cannot set your boot order. Drives can be detected and show up in bios, but you cannot reorder. No windows computer I've ever used had this issue. I cannot install a fresh windows 11, nor can I install linux which is one of the things I got this for. Since this appears to be Uogic's first device, hopefully they can build out support and bug fixes and such on their site like other OEMs. Lastly, today the whole system froze while I was typing in the command prompt. Then after restarting, I had blackscreens a couple of times. There are also a lot more errors in the event viewer in the 3-4 hours of use since receiving this device than on my gaming pc that is on for hours every day which could be nothing or something very concerning.

My friend recommend this Uogic OX9 laptop to me. Compare to many other 2 in 1 laptops, OX9 has better configuration, power performance and weight with a competing price. OX9 also runs very fast,that is another impressive aspect. I like this device so far and very satisfied with the purchase experience.

Nice alternative to surface 9. As long as its in a room cooled by an AC, the device will work without heating up (its has an x86 processor), even when playing titles like Halo MCC, or doing stuff in Unreal Engine. Proc is beefy, so it will drain the battery if you have many services and apps up and running. 32GB of Ram, so you will be able to run VSCode, VS 2022 and many other professional products without the device going bonkers. All and all, its a cool product as long as you are aware to charge it often. I haven't tried it with linux, but its been a nice experience with W11 Pro so far.

An i7 CPU and discreet graphics in a super lightweight package is exacly what I was looking for. I use it while away on jobs to copy HD and 4k filles from memoer cards to external 4TB SSD drives. I also use it for spot video editing if the client neeeds something right away until the drafts and final edit are available. Since I use eight 4K cameras for the videos, the cpu and disk\power useage is intensive. The spot and emergency video editing as weel as music generation\editing is also intensive. Luckily the usb charger weighs nothing too. The weight savings for travel is amazing. I would be remiss if I didn't give kudos to the UOGIC technical support staff. The OX9 is new and they were able to hold my hand and guide me through the many differences between this and my big machine at home. I really couldn't believe the price versus the competition. This is the deal of the century. The OX9 works great with the Acer USB hub and can even charge through it. I also picked up a combination Bluetooth/USB wireless mouse. I am not only happy, I am extatic about this purchase. Congrats to UOGIC for the OX9 for this winner in every way.
