Please know this is only a cover that has to be stuffed. The seller's description will tell you this. I still think it's a good purchase for the price. The quality of the leather is very nice. At first, I tried stuffing it with blankets, and it was lumpy. In the end, I stuffed it with three old fairly firm pillows and it was perfectly puffy. The pillows had gone a bit lumpy, but you don't notice it under the leather cover. I felt good about using the old pillows and not adding to the landfill. The height of the ottoman is also the perfect height for an average sized chair. Other ottoman I looked at were only 12 inches tall or less, and that really doesn't elevate my feet enough. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

My experience with poufs is that if they come stuffed with cloth or newspaper or other non-springy items, like my last sad pouf, they will deflate and require total restuffing to ever fill out again once you actually use them. Things like sheets will compact pretty quickly, I’m sure, so I planned to put a couple of unused bed pillows in this square ottoman and perhaps a few crumpled bedsheets on the bottom for foundation. The zippers are on the bottom and consist of an outer zipper in the faux leather and on an inner mesh sleeve that can hang out of the opening. The first challenge is that the zipper openings are only 12” (30 cm) wide, and if you’re doing the stuffing alone it’s tough to manage keeping them open while trying to compress a bed pillow into the opening. Once I got the first pillow in, I realized it had done the job I wanted of making the top smooth and a little firm, so I decided to go with memory foam stuffing for the rest and purchased a 5 lb. bag of shredded memory foam, as recommended. When the foam reinflated after removing it from the compressed shipping bag I thought I’d have at least half of it left over for other projects, as there was probably 6’ long x 2’ wide of stuffing laid out in the inner bag. I was wrong! The pouf had such an appetite for stuffing that I was able to get all of the 5 lbs. into it with little difficulty other than keeping the zipper opening open while stuffing in handfuls of foam, a time-consuming task. It looks nice now, rebounds from pressure, and shows no signs of defects, but I think they could have done something with the opening to make it easier to stuff.

My home office chair is too low or the new desk I made is too high, probably the desk I made is too high. I didn't think it would be a big deal but it was. My arms were always hurting cutting into the side of the desk. I couldn't get the axel thingy off to put the new one on. I had two set cushions and still wasn't high enough until... The Pouf Ottoman! I love it!! It saved the day! It's really good quality too! It's a leather type material, very nice stitching, beautiful color, absolutely gorgeous. Be aware this is an UNSTUFFED ottoman. You will need to get stuffing which is no big deal. They have foam here on Amazon which isn't very expensive and that's what I used. I just stuck the whole 5lb roll in the ottoman and cut it open inside to keep any mess contained. For me, to use it as a seat, 1-5lb foam was enough, but when I get ready to use it as an actual ottoman I will for sure need another 1-2 rolls of stuffing, depending how stuffed you want it. Also if you use another type of stuffing you might need a different quantity as well. On the inside it has a double zipper too. So when you fill it there is a zipper attached to a netting on the inner portion to close in the stuffing with space to shove that part down and yes, it goes all the way no little holes on either side. Then after you stuff that down inside there is an invisible zipper, you know the kind that when you zip it, up it tucks away for aesthetics. It's a strong and beautifully crafted piece, perfect addition to any den, or family room. Put it in your home office under your desk to put your feet up while you're working, or have it for the kids to sit on while you brush their hair, not a playroom piece in my opinion. Also a nice one for inside the walk-in closet to put your foot on when you tie or buckle your shoe, or kick up your feet in a reading corner. If you gifted it to someone I might fill it first, but that's just me. Use your best judgment on that, but if they made other colors I would get a set.

I replaced an old pillow and bedding, and instead of throwing them out, I stuffed them into this ottoman. The opening is only 12 inches, so it was a little tricky to get the large pillow into it. The opening has a mesh lining that sticks out, which facilitates stuffing, and the zipper is high quality. To get the corners filled out, I used my collection of single fuzzy socks and extra rags. This ottoman makes a good hiding spot for cash and other small items. The faux leather material looks like the real thing. The stitching is well done, and the ottoman is durable. It’s very comfortable, but the comfort is reliant on the stuffing. The height when stuffed is about 14 inches, which is good for putting my feet up.
