Strong magnet works fine. The actual hitch plate is thinner than expected and will bend if you bottom out on a ditch or put something heavy on it. I saw some comments about the "Universal" hitch not fitting some mowers. "Universal" means you can make it fit on "anything", it doesn't mean it fits "everything" without modification.
