Bought as a secondary remote because my kids keep losing the one that came with the TV (Samsung Series 8). As far as I can tell the remote works identically to the original remote. I didn't have to do any setup to have it work with my TV. Unlike my original remote, which has a glossy plastic finish, this remote is matte. It feels nice enough. This remote also has additional buttons for Netflix, Prime, and web browsing, which my original remote doesn't have. These additional buttons work as intended. I feel this remote is likely made in the same factory as the original, as the battery cover has identical casting and tooling marks as my original. Overall pretty happy with the purchase, especially considering the price (I paid $19.99).

The original remote started acting weird.. some of the buttons were VERY HARD to push in order for them to work. Inserted the batteries in this one and it worked without incident.

We needed a universal remote to replace one that our dog ate. I had ordered a different one, and it had so many buttons, had to be programmed to match the TV, and never seemed to work just right. So, I ordered this one because it looked similar to another one that we have and like. I LOVE it! I didn't have to pair it with my TV--it worked automatically. It's very easy to figure out and use. The only thing I would say is that the volume/channel buttons aren't intuitive. You have to push/pull up and down rather than click on one end or the other. I hope that makes sense.
