Thicker than anticipated. Nice amount of shag. Some less expensive are not a very dense weave. This one has a good amount of shag and doesn't look sparse in any way. The color we picked is a dark gray. It is darker than the last we had, but it's still a good shade. It looks darker in the photos. I have a few heavy things on corners to let it flatten out, since it is delivered roller. But, the curl isn't bad. Probably because it's thicker. These pics were just taken 2 hours after laying the are rug out. Our last thinner area rug, with sparser shag, never ended up fully uncurling in the corners in the 2 and a half years we had it and we had to tape it down. Hopefully we won't have to tape this one. It doesn't seem like it will be necessary. Because this is thicker there are no visible wrinkles. It lays flat nicely. It's soft under your feet and there is no slipperiness to it. I absolutely love the rug that I purchased for my living room several years ago from the Unique Loom collection, so I purchased the exact same one just in a different size and shape for my home office. I did have to purchase nonslip tape so that the rug did not move when I moved my office chair. Now that the rug is taped down, it is easily vacuumed and maintains its look and shape. The Unique Loom collection offers great quality products at a great price and that’s why I am a returning customer. The rug in my living room has lasted over five years and still looks new. Feels good under my feet...shag like, but not a shag rug. I needed a rug to cover a lot of space in the family room and this answered the mail with the 8'x10' size. I was actually looking for a different rug in a different color when I stumbled across this one at a great price. We used carpet tape to keep the ends secure over the hardwood floors and that works well. The terracotta color is beautiful!!!     • Different rugs when ordering multiple - different shag and different measurements

I ordered both rugs of the same size and color, in the same order. Even though ordered together they shipped separately and arrived on different days. One rug was longer shag, more sparse, and ugly - if I'm being honest. The 2nd rug is slightly shorter shag and thicker - very nice on the feet, looks great. However, its also about 2.5 inches shorter than the first rug. You can also see the edge binding on the uglier rug because the shag isn't as thick. So different sizes, different shag lengths, different thickness/density in the shag. The backing on both rugs was identical, so they must just have terrible quality control. I have them laying directly next to each other with the sides touching so its painfully obvious the difference in the two rugs. I specifically bought 2 rugs instead of 1 larger because I'm older and disabled so maneuvering one huge rug would have been too difficult for me - that's why I'm so disappointed that the two rugs are so different. Ugh I guess if you're ordering one you just have to hope you get one of the thicker nicer versions ... show more
