The fibers in this rug have interesting subtle tones. It is thin enough to allow a door to open and close over it, yet it is hand-made wool. I purchased a very thin rubber mat to keep it in place, and that turned out to be the most awesome rug gripper.

I bought this for my dining room and also bought runners to put up my wood staircase. I love the way it looks and feels. They have a little bit of stretch so I’d recommend a pad if you are putting it on a wood floor. It sheds a bit at the beginning but I think most wool rugs do.

Fantastic quality rug. I have the same style rug in a larger format, but purchased from RH. It’s the same exact thing. I saved money by buying this same runner on HOUZZ for 30% less. Highly encourage a felted rug pad for this, trimmed to leave .5” around the edges of the rug so it tapers down. Without a rug pad you will slip on the rug as it’s a cotton backing. ... show more
