Installed in 2020 Dodge Ram 1500. Works smoothly. Easy install. Took about 15 minutes to install the first one, and and 5-10 minutes to install the second on. I liked the first one so much, I got one for the other side. With these on, you could put about 2 or so sheets of plywood in the back end of the pickup UNDER the Swingcases. If you had a large load of 4x8 material, you could just take these off, load the plywood, drywall, etc and then just set these on top or in back seat til you get the material unloaded then just put these back on. To take these on and off, it literally takes about 5-10 seconds. If you are wondering if they are theft risk because they come on and off so easy, they aren't. You can lock a little mechanism that comes with the Swingcase so that they can't be removed until you remove the gadget with the key. This would add an additional 10 seconds to the removal time. I have the locking gadgets on mine right now, with the key for them in the center console. The lids on the boxes themselves lock also, with the same key that locks them in place. When they are locked in place (as in theft proof), they sill swing open. I gave only 4 stars because they are not made of a heavy duty plastic that I have seen on other pick storage boxes (just rectangle ones, not swinging ones). Some of the boxes you see are made from a kind of black plastic that you can just tell is practically bullet proof and crack proof. These are good plastic, but that "upper tier" that I've seen on other black plastic storage boxes. Probably not a huge deal, as these do not bang around in the back of a pickup. They stay in place, so they should last for a very long time. They do cover up the bed lights, but if a person wants to, they can swing the boxes, and the lights will now light up the back end. ... show more

Was a pretty easy install. I purchased the passenger side version and feel like it would have been easier to install if I was left handed. Six holes and you’re done. I used a hand ratchet and not a power driver and the included screws were ok. Definitely drill pilot holes! Then a touch of light oil on the screws make them go in much more easily. Overall it’s decently sturdy, however I highly doubt it’s water tight. The top was slightly warped out of the box, so it’s not an even fit all the way around. Luckily this is under a tonneau cover. Plenty of clearance top and bottom. I loaded it with several draw bars/hitch balls and tie downs and it seems ok. The pivot lock is rubbish. Feels like I could pop it off with my finger. Also, would be nice if they offered some way to key it similarly to other locks (tonneau, racks, etc) or offered a combo lock option. Too many keys!! Will update if anything changes with use. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Just received and installed mine today. Been needing something to keep my tools from sliding around in the bed of my truck but was hesitant to buy this because I was unsure if I would be able to latch the handle of my new hard tonneau cover. Fortunately it tucks in just behind it perfectly. In order to latch and unlatch the tonneau cover, you do have to swing the swing case out first but it works! Aside from part of the hing being broken as shown in the pictures, it seems to be good quality. Installing was super easy taking less than 5 minutes. The only issue I foresee is not being able to access the tie down located underneath the mounting bracket. I will keep this review updated with any changes. ... show more

I love the idea and the design, BUT these boxes are made very cheaply. I ordered one for each side and when I was installing one of them, the box happened to fall over when it was in the bed. That little move cracked the cover and the hinge popped out, that was when I also discovered that it doesn't even have mechanical hinges, just little plastic pieces that bend every time you open the lid. I'm sure these pieces wont last long, and keep this in mind: you will have to drill holes in your bed, and the holes will be there after these things will eventually have to be taken out due to the poor quality. ... show more

Totally worth the $$, I'm kicking myself for not installing one of these years ago when I first saw one. It literally took less than 20min to install and the reason it took this long was because I installed the mounting bracket around and thru my bed rug. I have a fair amount of weight in it and it seems to have been operating just fine. I feel confidant this will last the test of time and abuse. It actually swings out further than I thought. I was concerned it would be tough to get in and out of because my truck is lifted but it swings out more than I thought it would and I can get in and out of it easily. I installed in a 2019 Ram SB. My thought on it is, it's well worth the $$ ... show more
