  • Compact and easy to use.
I like best I think how easy this is to move between rooms. I like to use this while doing schoolwork at my standing desk and also use it when I want to relax and watch tv but don't want to sit the whole time. It's not for heavy duty activity and that fine, I didn't expect that for this. But to just keep moving and walking while having something you can easily move it's perfect. ... show more

  • Compact
This walking pad is much smaller than an average treadmill. It took a minute to adjust my stride to the shorter length and width. It a bit temperamental and doesn’t work very well on the slower speeds but I found that the 2.5-3 mph range worked best. It also struggles if you get too far forward or too far back on the belt. It says to wear shoes and that is definitely something you should follow as I tried it barefoot and ended up with tender feet from tread burn. It’s very quiet. Set up was fairly easy. The belt needed to be tightened and aligned before use. They do include a tool and instructions. It comes with lubricant for under the belt and it needs a generous amount on both sides of the belt to work. ... show more

  • Very Nice Product
The media could not be loaded. I was pleased to find this treadmill fully assembled in the box with instructions, a remote control with batteries, oil and a tool for periodic maintenance. The unit was easy to use. Since it does not have side rails or an emergency stop switch to attach to the user's clothes, one needs good balance to use this. I started at .5mph and found that until I got the speed between 2 and 2.5mph it was difficult for me to stay balanced and coordinated. At 2.5mph, it was like taking a leisurely stroll. This treadmill is designed for walking, not jogging or running. It maxes out at 4.0 mph It easily rolled under my bed for storage and easily rolls out for use. A very nice product! ... show more

  • There is a very small group of people who might possibly benefit from this apparatus.
If you did not have a tv in front of your couch, you would probably never use it. That is what makes the treadmill the most highly recommended piece of exercise equipment there is. Most people know how to walk, and most people can walk and watch tv at the same time, and unlike most other aerobic apparatus, you will not tend to slow down if you become distracted by the tv. We walk without paying much attention to it every day, and no, we don't usually require handrails to keep us from falling down if we are distracted by something. But this is where the similarity ends. You do not want to be standing on the belt when you turn it on. You want to be standing straddle of it holding on to the side rails or the front rail. As the unit slowly gains speed, you step on. As you gain speed up to a normal walking speed, you can let go and walk naturally, swinging your arms for balance. If you have a misstep, the handrails can help you avoid a fall. This is especially important when you are first learning to walk without feeling the forward momentum. You learn, but it takes a while, and this while is when you MUST have handrails. So this removes new users of treadmills from the number of people who can benefit from this machine. They must have something this machine does not have, handrails. The next group we can remove is the large group of people who have used treadmills enough to not need handrails ever at all. This treadmill has a top speed of four miles per hour. Most people who use a treadmill every day are in good enough shape to walk just over that speed, and they need to walk over that speed to get their heartrate in the aerobic training zone. If they do not get their heartrate in the training zone, they will not benefit from this exercise. I take you back to the first part of my discussion, the reason a treadmill is the best item for aerobic exercise is you will not get distracted and slow down. The treadmill enforces the speed required for you to keep your heartrate in the training zone. So we have ruled out the two largest groups. Group one who cannot use this apparatus is composed of people who need handrails. Group two is people who need to go over 4 mph BECAUSE they have been using treadmills enough to be used to walking on a treadmill. So the two groups of people who can't use this machine are people who don't need a handrail and people who do. Rather than begin a discussion of a search for the few people who actually compose the remaining small groups who might otherwise make use of a handrailless treadmill, let is now explore the other weaknesses of the treadmill we are talking about here. They boast that this unit comes with a 2.5 hp motor. It is a DC motor. We talk about RPM rather than horsepower with a DC mother. If I hook it up to 240AC for example, it would have 20hp right until it catches on fire. But i don't have to tell you that, so we could just say this treadmill has a ten hp motor on it. But if you open it up and look, you will see that it is a rather small motor. About the size of a soup can. And at useable speeds, it is probably only pulling about a half hp. But this is not the reason the treadmill will not go faster. It is the reason it won't hold up to going slow. They know you are not going to use it, and if they are wrong and you do use it, it isn't going to last very long. In short, let me just tell you one good thing about this treadmill. When I see a cheap treadmill in someone's home, it usually has dirty clothes hanging all over the handrails. Since this unit does not have handrails, this will not happen to it ever. In short, to go fast, a treadmill needs a large motor, but a large motor costs a lot. Since they want a super cheap treadmill here, they have to have a really cheap motor, but a really cheap moto can't go slow. But if they put a really fast motor on this unit, it will get beaten to death by the pounding. But that's okay, the track, the belt, what they all the pad, is so narrow you can't run on it anyway. So, but that does lead me to one tell tale sign of a cheap treadmill. You have to lubricate the deck. A good treadmill has a wax impregnated deck that cost about $600 for one that is wide enough and thick enough to be run upon, and we are talking about a treadmill then that would cost about $2000 or more. So. I'm done, but I could go on if you need me to, but you don't. I cannot recommend this unit. ... show more

  • Great for Gentle Exercise
This is an under-desk walking pad. It is not a traditional treadmill. By definition, for example, it cannot have handrails. If it didn't it would not fit under a desk easily. It does not advertise itself as having rails, so I am astounded by the people writing reviews who seem surprised by this fact. This is a very basic, starter walking pad for people who want to move more. If you work from home all day and have a standing desk, this pad is for you. If you have health issues that put you are risk if you fall, this might not be. My son is healthy and active, and hates it when he is forced to sit at his desk all day. We got him an affordable adjustable height desk, and this pad, so that he has the option of moving his body while he studies. For us it is a great setup. ... show more
