Saw this and cannot wait to try it out soon this spring. I have held off buying one of the expensive uncapping tubs as they are almost $200 and generally get buy using a stick across a small storage tub. I came across this and thought ‘genius’! First, this fits PERFECTLY on my 5 gallon honey bucket, it ‘clicks’ in so it feels very secure. I hate several notches inside the recessed top area for propping your hive frame into while you uncap it. Finally, this is a great solid plastic material that does not feel brittle. I imagine it would be hard to break it so I think it will last a long time. This thing is perfect and I would shake the hand of whoever made it. This Honey Uncapping Frame Holder fit for the top of a 5 Gallon bucket is made of really thick yellow plastic. It is reinforced on the bottom by cross hatching the plastic inlays with plastic. Since you will be applying pressure downward when you scrape the wax off the sides of the frame, you need a very heavy duty frame holder. The groove on the top of the tool fits the frame and has two different size slots for standard size frames. For those who have a small bee colony or are traveling to individual bee colonies and need something portable for uncapping the wax, this tool is perfect when used with a 5 galling bucket. ... show more

Beekeepers, get thee a dozen of these! Really, one is plenty - because it's sturdy and should hold up well! It fits universally on standard 5 gallon buckets, and takes the place of much more specialized and expensive tools quite handily, making those more expensive tools completely unnecessary.
