This is the first air fryer we have owned. It is easy to use and clean, doesn't heat up the whole kitchen like the oven does. There is a learning curve to air frying but once you get the hang of it, it is fun to use.

I have had my air fryer a few weeks now. I have cooked: fried chicken, fried zucchini, a whole chicken, and salmon. While I'm not using it for every meal and I do keep it in the cupboard when not in use, I am very much enjoying it and have many other recipes slated to try. I am fortunate it fits in my pantry on the top shelf. This thing is BIG!!! But that's just what I wanted. I read about too many people buying a second one because the first one they bought was too small. I don't see that happening with this one. As an aside, I was offered a free single waffle iron after registering. I'm not sure if this was some sort of gimmick to get me to leave a positive review or something, but I didn't go for it because I already have a waffle iron. Anyway, my review is unprompted and I didn't receive any compensation, although I will mention that the product registration link takes you to FB messenger and you register via that. I have never registered a product that way before so it was a little odd, but it worked and was efficient. PROS: 1) Enormous. The 5 pound chicken I put in the thing looked tiny with all the extra space I had around it. I probably could have cooked two of them (front and back). 2) Easy to use controls (I haven't used any of the presets yet. I just use temp and time) 3) Good length cord 4) Heats up fast 5) Deep...plenty of room to use my little rack for a second layer. 6) No issue with steam or heat burning you when you open the basket. Just open it slowly to allow the air circulation to stop. 7) Warranty if you register CONS: 1) There aren't any racks available for sale that are big enough to create a full-sized second tier of cooking. I bought the biggest one I could find to add a second layer of cooking and the thing has inches of room on all sides. ADVICE: 1) I read so many reviews for so many air fryers about the nonstick coating coming off. I also read that something in cooking spray may be contributing to this problem so I am not using it on the surface of mine. It's unnecessary actually, just spray the item you are cooking with the spray, or use an oil sprayer so you're coating it, just not with an aerosol spray. 2) It is so easy to clean, I just wash mine with a soft sponge. It truly is not worth running it through the dishwasher, especially since the thing is so darned big, you won't be able to fit much more on the rack than that! 3) I have read (admittedly rarely) that the heat on the underside of air fryers has been known to occasionally crack granite countertops. I am not taking any chances. I have been using mine on top of my unheated stove which is built to withstand direct heat. I haven't decided yet what to do when I need to use my stove while using the air fryer, but I will come up with a solution. Perhaps I am being overly cautious, but the counter is too valuable to take a chance. ... show more

I probably didn't look at this size description very well and mostly looked at the picture. This thing is huge on my counter top. That aside, I do not regret getting this one. It works really well. I am still on a learning curve on it. Learning what foods are best at what temps and times.

I love this air fryer. The drawer is hard to close and it won’t turn on if the drawer is not closed properly. Other than that, I love it!

Read the whole instruction manual thoroughly, it recommends before you use the product to cook a lemon for 15 minutes to remove any funny smells! Ok, so after opening the basket upon completion of the 15 minutes found the lemon completely stained the basked black, washed for an hour and it’s never coming out. Never even got to use this product once!! Furious is an understatement, I can’t recommend you going with another manufacturer of air fryers and don’t get screwed like me. Literally received yesterday and not even registered the warranty yet. Complete loss 😬 Today manufacturer contacted me to offer a replacement or refund. I asked for a basket only since that is the only affected part. This shows the company actually cares about its product and customer’s opinion. Bravo! ... show more

    • Hard to clean but great air fryer
First I will say, I no longer have this air fryer. I gave it to some family members, (who love it as much as I did.) I bought it in early 2020 I believe, for Mother's day, and it's still going without a problem. It makes amazingly delicious food, super crispy, in such a quick time frame. For a large family too. We are not "skinny eaters," lol we like to eat... alot. There are 3 of us, and we most of the time had left overs. I made all things from pork chops, French fries, (frozen, and homemade) chicken, sandwiches, etc. I did try burgers and it smoked, and yes I put water in the bottom. Steak was just... okay. I would rather cook my steak in a pan or on the griddle, if I'm cooking indoors. Anyway, so why did I get rid of it??? Two reasons. 1. I like to have extra left overs to pack in lunches during the week. And 2. The big one... cleaning! It was extremely hard to clean! Not only do you have to wash the big giant basket, everytime you cook something messy in there that you can't use a makeshift foil pan, lol, the food sticks to the high heavens! And they don't recommend pam spray because it can ruin the "non stick coating," <haha which chips off from all the scrubbing you have to do to it anyway. However.. they've recently come out with dawn power wash spray, which I buy for cleaning my new air fryer, and I wish I had this stuff around when I had my ultrean. I may not have gotten rid of it. Anyway, so I "upgraded," to a 20qt air fryer which I liked a little bit, but the ease of use was no where near the same as the style of the Ultrean. With the big giant ones, it just takes longer to cook, and it makes a sloppy mess all over the counter because you have to move the baskets around. Anyway, so all that being said, I knocked a star for being hard to clean. I still highly recommend this purchase as long as you don't mind frequent cleaning, AND definitely invest in some dawn power wash spray. It's the foam spray. It's a little spendy, but it's not bad if you tell your family it's ONLY for the air fryer! Lol. Hope this helped! ... show more

I like this fryer so much ! Very big -food turns out great every time ! But the company will not replace my peeled basket ! Very Poor customer relation . Just purchased it in June 2023
