My Mom got this for a recent trip and I just wanted to give our review of this chair. First, it's a great size and can easily be checked at the airport gate. It does not stay closed very well (pops open easily when I didn't need it to) so I bought 2 30" Velcro straps to make it secure while being placed in the baggage section at the gate. It is easy to pull behind me however you need it to be over on the side of you to not bump you. I believe the reason is because the extendable handle should be a little longer. It did extremely wheel being wheeled all over different types of floors and pavement as well as cobblestones and dirt/pebbled paths. Although the dirt was a bit more of a struggled push. Another con is when arms are down and you are rolling the cart behind you they hit the wheels and both ends of spongy handle covers are now ripped. My mom said it was comfortable but could use a little more cushion. At 22 lbs it isn't very difficult to handle taking it in Ubers or any other type of transportation as well as storing it in a small restaurant area. My biggest problem was the handle that you need to push the chair with is too short for taller people so it was hard to bend over on long hauls. Last, The chair cannot be folded up fast because you must make sure the wheels are facing out when you get ready to fold the chair so after a day or two I got he hang of it. I also purchased a 12x14 bag to hang off the back and it worked out great! This chair is NOT safe. The foot rest gets caught under the seat when opening from the folded position and if you sit on the seat while the foot rest is 'hung' in that position it will pinch your legs! When the foot rest is in the down position you have to put both legs out (straddle position) or sit to the side to sit in the seat. This is too hard for a blind person or a elderly person to do this position just to sit down. While it is in the folded position there is no latch to help hold it in the UP right position so it falls over. It looked like a great chair, but once we got it is is NOT. It is not a safe chair. We purchased this wheelchair for my 76 year old mother for a graduation. It was not comfortable for her to sit in. The footrest was too high and caused her knees to be raised uncomfortably. When the footrest was in the folded position (so her feet could relax on the ground), the seat boarder and the footrest made a pinch on her legs. The lock for the chair did not prevent the wheelchair from moving, which made getting in and out of the chair difficult. I would return it if we hadn't used it for the graduation. ... show more
