I'm only 25 and riddled with health problems. This purchase was a game changed. This chair glides! It's easy to put together, easy to take apart, it's not too heavy, and it's very sturdy. It goes over small bumps, rocks, sticks, and cracks so easily. I can even push myself over my watering hose when it gets left on my sidewalk! One push keeps me rolling much longer than in other chairs in a similar price range. In my old chair going over the tactile paving on public sidewalks was actually painful in my arthritic joints... in this chair I fell almost nothing! The value of this item is truly worth the price.

The wheelchair is very well built. It arrived assembled, except for the footrests. My problem is the footrest do not adjust or I'm unable to figure out how to adjust, even after reading and re-reading the instruction manual. I am concerned a 6'2", 175# male is going to be too large. The chair looks small.

It is lighter than a standard wheelchair. Wheels detach and reattach easily. Has a seat belt. Goes easy through grass and dirt road but more difficult and challenging on mid grad gravel. The better option is the heavy duty upgraded. Things to consider. It will be higher than other wheelchairs so it may affect transfers from certain surfaces getting back to the wheelchair. The brakes lock at the handles but the wheelchair will still slightly move.

Vedry happy we got this for my wife. It's much nicer and comfortable for her and easier for me to push. A great feature are the locking hand brakes for the pusher and another lock for the rider. I added "pegs" to the handles so I could push with less strain on my wrists. These are available for bycycles and fit just fine. Had to take off the grips to add the pegs in front of the grips but was not hard
