    • I was quite impressed with this.
I used this in a non-standard way. I needed to search for an item in an attic that I could not get full access to. I attached my phone and a cold shoe light source to it and proceeded to probe the depths of this storage space. It was stable enough to get good shots and help me confirm the presence of something I had put there over twenty years ago. As for more normal uses, it is the nicest selfie stick I have seen. It has a very wide base and is tall enough to film a standing adult when fully extended. The inclusion of a cold shoe most is welcome as it gives a place to mount a light source or external microphone. It also has the standard tripod 1/4-20 mount too, for larger cameras. However, I do not think it is sturdy enough to trust a heavy camera to as it is built to be mobile and may fall with a full frame camera's weight on it in tripod mode. That being said, I would use it as a hand held selfie stick with a medium frame camera on it as I feel that it can easily handle the weight. The head of the tripod holds adjustment well and I could not force it to slip. All in all, it is a nice unit and I would purchase it if I did not receive it as a review sample. ... show more

    • Good stand if you don't have to manipulate the phone
Ok so I really like this tripod. The height is nice and it easily fits my phone. Comes with a remote that stores nicely in the tripod too. When you increase the height, while it does remain stable it does jerk around when you are doing anything on the phone. so if you are live streaming expect your viewers to see the camera shake. If you are streaming and your phone is not being touched it works well. For me I at times have to make changes on my phone and it impacts my stream. ... show more

This tripod works alright for phones. It folds down to less than a foot long, or extends to almost adult height. The telescoping extension just pulls out (no locking mechanism), so it isn’t ideal, but it holds well enough. It does take a bit of force to pull it open, which helps it not collapse under the weight, too. For science, I tested it with my full frame camera, and the tripod held, but swayed a lot under the weight. I wouldn’t trust this with any big cameras, but it works well for phones or small action cameras (ie GoPro). I do love that it has a cold shoe mount on the side, but it’s a little strange to have it be under the upper mount. Also the double phone grip is a unique feature, but seems excessive since they are only a few inches apart. Maybe if you are filming a reaction or a wide and a close up simultaneously, but otherwise I’m not sure why you would need it. I do wish it had a 1/4” mag safe adapter included, but no major issue.     • Great extendable phone tripod!
I ordered this item to use primarily with my GoPro. It’s designed more to be used with a phone. Overall It seems well built. The telescoping feature has a good resistance that should hold it extended but is much easier than a twist locking mechanism other sticks use. I like that it comes with two phone clamps that can be used together if wanted (as shown in the photos), but I’m not sure when I would do that specific thing. The phone clamps are pretty strong, so I feel safe putting my phone in them. The feature I like most like the tripod is the handle section opens to make a stand when needed but is a good handle size when closed. I also like the small shutter remote. It fits in the handle when not in use and paired easily with my iPhone. The only issue I’ve found so far is that when it’s fully extended and using the tripod feather it becomes a little shaky. When only extended part way this isn’t an issue. I think this should be expected given the length of the extension vs the size of the legs. It’s not a big deal to me, but thought it’s worth a mention in the review. ... show more

    • Love this little thing
Very versatile for phones, and sturdy enough for a smaller camera, like the popular zv-1. But once you start getting into cameras with heavier glass on them, it starts to droop. But with the additional phone mount included, its great for phones for sure.

I wanted to use this for my new videos and although it does hold the phone but it shakes with every movement I make or even with my walks. After watching my videos I always see a light vibration occurring even with my walking. It doesn't move and it comes with a remote for picture taking. It's a lightweight, multi-function tripod for small devices--there are no shortage of options out there, and this is one of the better ones. So long as your expectations are reasonable, I don't see how anyone could be unhappy with this. The constructions feels reasonably robust; the joints and hardware operate smoothly enough; it's decently stable; its a flexible/versatile/expandable platform; the mounts are all very decent; the bluetooth remote works as it should. But y'know it's lightweight--not gonna handle wind very well. It's $29.99--not gonna get precision tolerances and rock solid mounts. It's just very good for what it is. ... show more

    • Mixing Convenience with Challenges
I got the MT-70 tripod for my photography and vlogging. It's great because it holds my phone and camera at the same time and lets me shoot in different ways. But, it's pretty big and not easy to carry. Also, setting it up was hard because it didn't come with a manual. It's tall, has a spot for extra gear like mics, and even a remote control for taking pictures from far away. But figuring it out without instructions was tough.
