  • Adds versatility.
I use this lens combo on my Sony ZV-1 and I'm happy with it. I wanted it if for the macro part of the lens, but the wide angle comes in handy. Take your time to center and stick the adapter ring to the front of the camera's lens body. After that, the two-lens combination is easy to use, and they work well. It seems to be built professionally (metal, glass, industrial plastic). It puts the weight of the camera towards the front when the camera lens is extended, but I have the SmallRig camera cage attached which helps balance the weight. I use the cage to attach a real camera strap to the camera, and to help protect the camera body. I don't see any perceptible degradation of the images, but I suppose if someone were to pixel-peep deep and long enough, they might spot some softness somewhere during specific/unique conditions. Using the 35mm equivalent ratios, this lens takes the camera's normal 24mm wide angle to about 18 or 19mms. The 70mm telephoto end is then at about 64 or 65mms. The camera's normal minimum focus distance at 24mm is about 2 inches, but using the macro lens moves it closer to just 1 inch (and the bokeh increases). At 70mm the camera's normal minimum focus distance is about 10 inches, but the macro lens moves it to just 2 inches (with lots of bokeh as well). The wide angle minimum focus distance is reduced too but I'm not sure how much. The wide angle is designed to be used with the macro lens attached. However, (I don't think this was intended) if you remove the macro lens and hold the wide angle lens up against the camera lens, you'll get a fish-eye lens effect. The wide angle uses a 58mm filter thread to attach to the front of the macro lens, but the macro lens uses a 52mm filter thread to attach to the camera, so you can't screw the 58mm threaded wide angle lens directly into the 52mm threaded mount on the camera to get the fish-eye affect unless you can find and buy a 52mm to 58mm step-up filter thread adapter. That's the next thing I'll be looking for. ... show more

  • Used on a Sony FV-1F -- It works great!
First, I am not using the adhesive ring because I am using this on the F model of the FV-1 (FV-1F.) I followed some YouTube examples and added a Variable ND filter that screws onto the camera. (I'm using that for video to keep my exposure settings where I want them to adhere to the 180 rule.) Next I added a step-up ring that fits between the ND filter and the Ulanzi Wide Angle lens. (I have not used the macro option on this filter but what a great added benefit.) The short version is that this lens helps resolve the camera problem of not having a wide enough view angle, ESPECIALLY when using the stabilization setting on the FV-1 version cameras because of the crop in 'feature' that occurs when stabilization is turned on. This does add more weight and bulk to these small form factor cameras. However, what we're really after is good video. I am willing to have a bit more weight and bulk. For a much less expensive camera I've been able to get a better image. Eventually I will get a different primary vlogging camera and use this for b-roll or as a top camera. For now I'm really happy with it and will add more down the road with more use. And really, this still isn't as heavy or bulky as a much higher $$ vlogging camera with a separate lens! 2 last mentions. First, because I'm using the F version I do not know how this works with the adhesion ring. There are some extremely positive reviews on YouTube as well as a some less than positive mentions. Second, on this FV-1F it is easy to unscrew the lens configuration I'm using and have the camera as the super small, compact pocket-size vlogging camera it is. Over all I really like this set up and will add more pros or cons as I discover any along the way. All the best in your own set ups! ... show more

  • It works! Best cheapest alternative to an expensive macro lens
I bought this to save money and not having to buy a zve10 macro lens for $500. Well, it works! There’s a slight blur around the edges but I can hardly see it.

  • It’s perfect. Lens adapter comes with it and it does stay on.
I noticed a review mentioning it doesn’t come with a step out mount for the wide angle lens, and another about it not staying on. Everything you need for this camera is all together. You actually attach everything together when using the wide angle. Also, when initially mounting anything sticky, it requires time for the product to permanently bond. So I recommend sticking the adapter first without the lens so that you can let the bond adhere (think command strips) then after some time you can proceed to mount the lens which should stay on fairly well. Just make sure to attach the adapter centered. I’ve held my camera by the handle or tripod knowing the weight of the lens and it still stays on. I’m not as careful as I should be, and mine has stayed on quite well. Plus the wide angle and macro work perfectly well. If it’s still confusing, it goes camera > lens adapter > macro lens > wide angle lens > lens cover. When you want macro, just unscrew the wide angle. Hope this helps. It’s a great find to help a great camera. ... show more

  • Don’t Buy
This product itself is good quality but the adhesive stickers they provide is poor quality. I wished it worked because the lenses are really good but it kept falling off within the two days I used it for filming. Also it left a really sticky residue from the adhesive on my camera so I would not recommend this item. Sending back to return. ... show more

  • Ok kit
I think this is a great lens other than the adhesive doesn't last. The lens is heavy so after awhile the adhesive stops sticking and lens falls off. So maybe better adhesive is need. What comes with it may not be strong enough.

  • Honest Review
The only thing I don't like about this lens is that it falls off, there is no secure way to attach the Lens to the camera. But the lens is very clear and helps with content creation. 7/10
