After using the cable for only a couple weeks, it wasn't able to maintain a functioning state after a few rounds of walking back and forth in my room. For reference: The official cable from HTC had lasted me a little over a year, and that's with all the crazy acts that I pull in VR. Sprinting, jumping, rolling, throwing myself across the room in general, had never hindered the ability of the official cable to function. It'd simply died of old age. The sizing of the cable ends was sloppy, and left me jamming the inserts into my headset. Not only was this worrying to do, I had to do this multiple times, as SteamVR does not recognize the cable's video feed as genuine. To get the cable to function, I had to: 1: pull out my old and battered HTC official cable and plug it in 2: start SteamVR and confirm a connection 3: start replacing the old cable with this Bootleg If this alone doesn't put you off, any time I has to utilize the quick release of my cable set-up, it would completely cease to function, forcing me to restart and repeat the steps above. DO NOT BUY THIS CABLE. It wasn't even CLOSE to 16 feet anyway, which I figured to be a lie anyhow. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS CABLE FOR THE SAKE OF YOURSELF AND THE AMAZON STOREFRONT, DO NOT BUY THIS On a further note, I had tried to return the cable for a refund, and after a full week of waiting, I haven't had the slightest clue on whether or not I am going to be compensated. Woopie.

It looks like this cableset is a few feet shorter than the original cableset. Also- the 90 degree angles where the set plugs into the vive is a bit bulkier-- while you could route it the same as the original it was a very close fit getting the pieces through the hard plastic access port. All that said, the cableset is working just fine.

Cable works well with link box and resolved my disconnect issue. Audio is clear and visual is without distortion or screen tearing for the HTC Vive. Great price and value for a person needing a cable! Plug in and that’s it, no reconfiguration needed..unless you did a fresh windows and steam vr setup then yes.

My headset (the screen was just black) went out when out to my vive ( I have had it 6 years) and was worried that someone broke it . Figured it was worth a try to replace the cord and I’m glad I did! Works like new again! So happy.

Purchased for my HTC Vive as that 3-n-1 cable died after years of use. This was a good price for a replacement cable. It worked beautifully for 6 months- the cables fit perfectly into the designated slots and it seemed very sturdy. Around the 6 month mark, it began to fizzle out the way the old, damaged cord would do. I checked for damage but there is none. I'm not sure what the issue is, other than a design flaw. Regardless, it worked perfectly for the 6 months. I'd be willing to try this product again just to make sure the error isn't on my end, but I doubt it is.

My attention was attracted to this cable due to its slightly lower price than the original. I was a little worried at first than having the cables be separate from each other and seemingly just glued together would mean it could possibly come apart. But up until now that has not been a problem at all, and it looks to be next to impossible for that to happen. I also haven't had any problems when it comes to tracking or the such. And if anything, I'm less worried about this cable breaking that I would have been with the original. As having each one be separate from one another seems to give it a bit more resistance. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase.
