If you’re looking for a super easy and effective AC unit, this is the one! This is the second portable from this brand that we have bought. Our central unit works when it wants too, and just doesn’t keep up with this Texas heat. We have a 10,000btu in our kitchen and the 12,000btu in our living room where it is large open space, and it has made our house much more comfortable. Not only is it portable (which means it can go camping with us, or can easily be moved to another room by rolling instead of having to carry it), it also has 4 different functions including AC for when it’s hot and heater for when it’s cold. It’s not super heavy, but works better than the wall unit we initially tried. It comes with a window connection to vent the hot air out also which was a little challenging at first, but we trimmed it a bit and it works like a charm. The connector is very sturdy also, so if you are like me and have a pet that likes to try to sneak out of the house from the seal sides, they cant wiggle the side panels loose! ... show more

I already had a different brand of 12000btu portable unit in my 13x18 living room, was never impressed with its performance. This new Uhome unit is in 20x20 family room, open to a 12x10 kitchen. This unit cooled the whole area down is just a few minutes. It puts out twice as much airflow as my other unit and is quieter. Also, the family room was added on and our heat in there is never good in winter. This unit will stay there all year round to heat the room too. Good quality, looks good. Window hardware was much, much better and easier to use than other portable units I've used. LOVE IT! Highly recommend. ... show more

I tried using this unit in a 6x12 room when I received unit I let Set approximately 24 hours set up was basically easy I even set up the drain hose into a plastic Bowl because it was very humid out the unit worked great for that day and most of the evening the unit shut off by itself I thought it was just because the room was cooled off the unit restarted it would only run a few minutes then the compressor would kick out fan would keep working no codes were set on display I thought the unit may have froze so I let it set approximately 12 hours plug unit back in and restarted it it would only run the compressor a few minutes in the compressor would stop working the fan kept on working okay when running this unit in the small room it was defeating the purpose the air conditioner was putting off so much heat and in the end I think it burned up the compressor now I have shipped it back it's been a few days waiting for confirmation of received by the seller ... show more

This product is good does cool my room down ,heat works and dehumidifier works . Have to remember to check water in back pull the black plug to empty make sure you have a large cup to let water go into. Now the problem we had , could not have two electrical items on at same time . The air conditioner would trip breaker and shut down . In Massachusetts air conditioner has to have its own breaker so we had to pay to install a breaker . It cost us $450 dollars to add . So this unit cost us $750 total. AC suppose to be on a 20amp by self . Electrician stated, it’s a new Code due to arcing . This unit is pretty quiet it’s is big so definitely have to plan for a space .     • 12,000 BTU (UPF1-12H) Initial Thoughts

While I know this should be used in a house environment, but I ordered mine for work. I do IT work and the building manager does not do a good job regulating the temperature in different areas of the building. I have several servers running out of my office and regularly get ambient temperatures of 98℉. This is horrible for the equipment. I convinced my boss to allow me to get this AC/Heater/Fan/Dehumidifier so that I can have a regulated temperature in my office. Since it has arrived 1 hour ago, it has already lowered the temperature to 75℉, and I have it set to 68℉. I will continue to monitor it and hopefully it can maintain the set temperature. Sorry, I can't comment on how it sounds, as I have other devices that are much louder constantly running. I will post an update in the future on how it actually performs. Update: After several months of using this, it has done well keeping the temperature more regulated in my office. The main drawback that I can find is there is no option to automatically switch from cool to heat to maintain the temperature. We recently had some big temperature swings outside and while this unit handles it well, I have to manually change the modes. ... show more

This a/c looks nice. It blows decently cold air, but, does not blow it real hard. I have a 20x20 room, it will not cool it below 80 degrees. If you stand a foot in front of the unit, the air is cold. But it does not push it out far enough. One positive, I have not had to drain it.

Size: 12000BTU with Heating
Easy to install and operate. It cooled a 340 sq ft room quickly. The unit can also be run as a fan or dehumidifier, or heater. The heater function hadn’t been tested yet but will as we move to September in the north woods. At $250 during Prime days the unit is worth it if it continues to function well. Update: opened the cabin today and turned on the heater. It gave only cold air and the unit iced up. Yes, the heater iced up the unit. It’s worthless as a heater. Will wait for the heat of summer to see if at least the AC works. Update on update: when the unit is properly vented all modes (heat, ac, dehumidifier, and fan) function well.
