Works great. Had it installed and using within about 15 minutes. Extremally cold. Only complaint that I have is that there is definitely something not right with the thermostat. Even turned up on 75 it will run. When it's off it tell the temperature in the room. It always says it's 77 to 79 degrees and that is not right. I have a thermometer across the room that says it's 70 to 72. It will freeze you out. The good thing about it is a lot of the time I just run it on dry and it's just as cold as the air. So far it's been a good deal just wish it read the right temperature. ... show more

If you’re looking for a super easy and effective AC unit, this is the one! This is the second portable from this brand that we have bought. Our central unit works when it wants too, and just doesn’t keep up with this Texas heat. We have a 10,000btu in our kitchen and the 12,000btu in our living room where it is large open space, and it has made our house much more comfortable. Not only is it portable (which means it can go camping with us, or can easily be moved to another room by rolling instead of having to carry it), it also has 4 different functions including AC for when it’s hot and heater for when it’s cold. It’s not super heavy, but works better than the wall unit we initially tried. It comes with a window connection to vent the hot air out also which was a little challenging at first, but we trimmed it a bit and it works like a charm. The connector is very sturdy also, so if you are like me and have a pet that likes to try to sneak out of the house from the seal sides, they cant wiggle the side panels loose! ... show more

    • Barely cools and is insanely loud and got mold

The thing barely feels colder than our central air. My wife likes to keep the house at 70 buti prefer it much colder. I got this for my in home office. It's so insanely loud I have to turn it off whenever I have a teams meeting. The vent and inserter it comes with offers little to zero insulation. The second I turn it off the air temperature of the room immediately starts to gravitate towards the ambient outside temperature. I'm not an HAVC expert but I feel like I've done a decent enough job of sealing the window to prevent any air from escaping and keeping my door shut. I either run it 24/7 and have the loudest AC I've ever owned or turn it off and the office becomes hotter than before I've ever had it even with the Central AC because of thermodynamics. Not to mention I regularly cleaned the filter but because of the vent I have to assume this but the AC unit developed mold after just a month and a half of owning. I have to assume that it got like this because of the outside humidy and the fact the AC unit is the only thing connected to the outside via the vent. When its off hot air blows through the AC unit into the room which mixed with the condescension from the room temperature makes a perfect environment for growing mold. Do not recommend ... show more

First of all, the product is very nice and works well so far. I am very pleased with it's performance and ease of installation. The product was ordered and on the day it was to be delivered, we were advised that it was delayed. By the next morning, the delivery date was updated to an additional 10 days of waiting. No fear, their message advised because we won't be billed until it ships (again). In the mean time, the product price to everyone else was reduced by $20 at this point. I was not totally surprised when they did finally bill my account for the original higher amount. Of course it was not the price at the time they corrected their shipping error but rather the higher price from weeks earlier when I ordered it. That's the way it goes some time. So bottom lineis, I recommend the product but not the seller if you have other options. ... show more

The only thing I can complain about is when the water is full from the dehumidifier it will stop working and flash FL which means it's meaning the dehumidifier is full of water and needs drained this has happened now twice in the same week. We don't realize it's doing this until it starts getting cold in the room which is a pain cause I have a 99 yr old dad that gets cold as it is. But I plan to look at the Manuel and try to turn off the dehumidifier part if possible plan to discuss this with the seller. But I will say I like this unit better then and ordinary window unit it's much better heater and ac unit wouldn't send back plan to deal with this issue. ... show more

When we purchased this portable air conditioner for $229, we really weren't expecting much. We bought it to use in our school bus, To augment our existing air conditioning. Our experience with portable air conditioners in the past, has been that, they struggle, even if they are blowing a lot of cold air, because, they are pulling in outside air as they exhaust the hot air through their single hose. We were pleasantly surprised. The cooling function provided ample comfort. It's really quiet for a portable unit, and the heating function is just simply amazing.
