I know I need to be very careful with these because those of us who are not professionals can damage our teeth with things like these. I imagine a dentist would cringe at the thought of us having this at home. However I really like to see my teeth and make sure there is no tartar or food hanging around any hard to reach places and this is great for that. I also lost a filling and have not made it into the dentist yet as I am looking for a new one and have not found one as of yet. So, I really wanted to be able to see in the hole the missing filling left behind and the mirror was perfect for that. At first it fogged up a lot but once it warms up a bit I didn't get any more fog on the mirror at all. I am not practiced at working backwards so using the mirror is not so simple but I perhaps I can train myself better. The only thing it could have had was a little light on the mirror because you cannot see without a flashlight and by the time you have the mirror and a flashlight, you don't have another hand to work with. The case is nice to keep everything together and clean. I do keep the tools in the plastic bags they came in because of hygiene but also the metal case and the metal tools would most likely be a bit noisy whenever you handled the case.

They're definitely not professional grade. The metal is very lightweight. They still do their job and are useful for getting stubborn bits of food dislodged from your gums, which is what I got them for. The case is a nice touch.

These look like quality stainless steel tools. They are sturdy and strong. They feel good to hold in your hand and use. I have some teeth that have a bit of crowding and subsequently, I get a higher than usual build up of plaque and tartar that no amount of brushing or flossing can get rid of adequately. These dental tools come in handy to scrape and remove that build up. I’ve only used one tool at the moment and that’s the probe that allows me to scrape some of the plaque and tartar that builds up between my teeth. I plan to do some gentle scraping so as not to cause any damage. The dental mirror comes in handy to see behind your teeth. What you do need is a flashlight and a magnifying mirror to make it easier to see what you’re doing. For home use, these four instruments are all you need.
