Shipped in thin item box that was torn up and filthy. However, the sheets, in Christmas red, were undamaged and washed up beautifully. I washed in warm water per the instructions and they came out with the same beautiful color, which speaks to the quality. The sheets, though 800 count, are thinner than expected but fairly soft and I can tell they will soften more with continued use. As cotton, they do wrinkle. For my own bed I'll won't iron the top seams, but if I was using these for guest beds, I would iron or take them to the cleaners for ironing at least the top sheet. They generously fit a deep mattress with enough to tuck in the foot. The sides hang exactly to the bottom edge of our 14.5 inch mattress. The quality of these sheets is evident before opening the box … they are heavy. They are smooth to the touch and feel well-crafted. I appreciated the note from the seller suggesting a wash before use — they had a manufacturing aroma. They washed up nicely and only got moderately wrinkled in th dryer. I do wish the colors were a bit more muted, but the light blue still looke pretty. ... show more

I like the weight and softness of the sheets. Love that they are 100% cotton and are not hot. I took off one star because the top sheet and fitted sheet are a slightly different gray. Fitted sheet has a deep pocket and stays put. They wash nicely and seem to get softer after every wash. Out of the dryer they are wrinkled but if you put them right away, they look better. This is the fifth, or sixth? Sheet set we have ordered for our bed over the last almost 10 years.. These sheet sets have comfortably lasted a long time, even under hard use. No, get your minds out of the gutter! I am talking about repeated wash/dry cycles, dogs jumping in the bed and rooting around to get under the sheets, and even encounters with the ceiling fan. I was in the market for some new full-size sheets and while these sheets are beautifully colored and very thick, they’re very stiff. I’m wondering if a few more washes might soften them up. They’re not quite what I hoped for, but they’re on my bed, and I’m hoping they’ll soften up.
