This is the greatest air conditioner I have ever owned. This thing cools the room down quickly and is whisper quiet. The fan I have in my living room is louder than this! I’m so glad I made this purchase right before the heat wave hit. Installation is fairly easy. I did need help from my younger son with installation and lifting as this is way too heavy (60 lbs.) for me to lift on my own. Definitely a purchase I’d recommend. ... show more

I’m extremely impressed with this U-shaped air conditioner! The installation was much easier than I expected, and the design allows my window to still open, which is a huge plus. It cools my room very quickly and keeps the temperature consistent even on really hot days. What surprised me most is how quiet it is — perfect for sleeping or working without distractions. Nice design, cools well. The unit works well. This was our first of this design type and being able to have most of the window still available is really nice. A couple of things I didn’t think of, not major: the intrusion INTO the room is more than the old style that set in the window. It’s not huge but it does hang over the window sill and stick out a bit from the wall. And, the window obviously doesn’t come all the way back down so you still have all the same issues (sealing, alarm, locking, etc). Just to be aware. The biggest drawback to this unit is the display. It is so amazingly bright it lights up the entire bedroom. It literally casts shadows clear across the room. And there is no way to dim. Horrible oversight for an item that will obviously be in use in bedrooms at night. So…brand new sleek design for a less obtrusive window unit…with junk taped over the front of it. We’ve had this unit less than a year. It worked fine at first but within a few months of use it barely runs at half capacity. No idea why and no AC companies want to work on these units. Also, you have to drain the condensation from the inside of your house with this unit. You have to do this daily and during hot months you have to do it multiple times a day. It’s really not worth it. There are better units out there to buy than this one.. ... show more

I’m extremely impressed with this Electactic U-Shaped Window Air Conditioner! I’m so glad I installed it before the summer heat wave arrived because it has already made a huge difference in keeping my room comfortable. The installation process was much easier than I expected, and I really love the U-shaped design that allows the window to still open while maintaining a full window view. That feature alone makes the room feel brighter and less blocked compared to traditional window AC units. This 10,000 BTU unit cools my space very quickly and keeps the temperature steady even during extremely hot afternoons. Another thing that surprised me is how quiet it is. I can sleep, relax, or work without the constant loud noise that many older air conditioners make.
