Why did you pick this product vs others?: I love the inverted U shape - it is very unobtrusive and can still see out window. Very quiet when on the quiet setting. Thermostat works well, unlike most portable AC units. Very powerful fan and easy to operate. Nice remote. 5 stars!

Easy to setup, works great. I love the fact that my window is only open 3 inches. They sent everything to set it up with a good tight seal in the window. Super quiet too. Highly recommend this unit!!

Just installed this today. Love the way it looks and doesn’t take up your window like traditional air conditioners haven’t used it yet since it wasn’t hot out but the next 3 days are going to be in high 90s so I’ll give it a good test. Installation was a breeze, had a friend over when ups showed up so he gave me a hand but I could have done it myself if needed. Update: was 95 today with a 75 dew point. Another words it was misrable outside . This AC worked fantastic in cooling my downstairs to the point the wife complained she was freezing.

This AC unit was damaged in shipping or manufacturing and I will be returning it. Even in “Quiet Mode” it was shaking my house walls and sounded like a construction zone with a jackhammer. I was very meticulous in making sure it was leveled both ways and even adding two rubber cups under leveling clamps did not help. The installations weren’t too hard. The hardest part was getting it out of the box. The box was tightly packed and came with instructions on what to do. On the outside of the box it said to cut away the packing tape and lift the box off of the product, but that wasn't possible. So when opening the top of the box the instructions that say to use the plastic straps around the device and lift it out of the box. I tried and tried and tried to lift it out of there. Applying more force lifted up the entire unit while holding the box down. I never was able to lift it more than half an inch. So I finally ended tearing the sides at the corners of the box and laid the sides down flat on the floor to get it out. So once you've got the box situation resolved it's easy to install. I just grabbed it around the middle of the unit and hoisted it over the window sill and set it down. There are some other things you need to do with putting the foam blocks under it first and then the foam weather stripping. They included a little bubble level so you can get it precisely level using the pre-attached leveling arms with rubber feet that are outside the window. Operating the unit was easy. I did not read the instructions and was able to turn it on and set it to a temperature. There are a few different modes that you'll need to read the instructions to really understand what they're doing and maybe to set some timers and things but basic cooling is just turn it on and set a temperature. The drain for condensation on the inside of the unit. I was kind of hoping that is there as a backup in case not all the condensation drains outside and drips out. If you do need to drain it indoors for all of the condensation, that's extremely disappointing. I live in Iowa where it's humid so we would have to be emptying this thing everyday or multiple times a day.

I bought this to replace a similar Midea unit that was recalled due to improper drainage causing mold growth. This unit has the same drainage problem. I can see water pooling in the bottom of the unit and I can hear the fan hitting the water. There is no drain hole on the outside, so I plan to drill a hole in the bottom of the unit to allow proper drainage. Unless you're in a cooler climate (I'm in Texas) and/or you're mechanically inclined, I would probably avoid this unit. I don't know if this is a common problem with window AC units or what, but I would have expected this to have been figured out. It's a shame because the unit has a great design otherwise. My only other complaint is the sound of rain reverberates loudly to the inside. I'll probably add some sort of dampening material on the top of the outside. That being said, the unit appears to cool well and has some great features. I just can't recommend it for the other reasons.

Cool’s amazing but it drains on the inside?!? We bought for a rent house at the beach. We had to put a bucket under it to drain. My renters are going to have to empty. I have never in my life seen an air conditioner that did not drain on the outside. I can’t imagine how this makes sense to drain from the inside. I am so confused about this. But again it cools very well and helps give the central air some relief. But I would not purchase again due to this

WOW!!!! This is one Powerful Air Conditioner!! It keeps my whole downstairs, like an ice box! Plus, it is Quite!!! It dropped the temperature in my place, pretty fast!! I believe this is pretty damn close to Central Air!!! Ladies - Hot Flashes, Meet Your Match!!! The air that comes out it so unbelievably cold, it knocks my hot flash right out!! Love this Machine!!!! When you first receive it, it seems Huge! Yet, most of that hangs outside the window. So don't worry! Also, Do Not Cut The Straps!! It Will HELP lift the Air Conditioner!!! Also, it was pretty easy to install!
