The only improve I would throw out there for the Company is to make the solenoid box out of aluminum or other metal rather then plastic. The current set up seems durable enough, but I can see it being a failure point with some rough brush pushing or heavy mudding. Seems a shame not to upgrade it on future models when the rest of the winch is so well put together. Would def buy again. ... show more

It is a good winch for the money. But bought this tool with the thought in mind to be able to move it from the front to rear & onto my 14,000 lb flatbed to load cars trucks ect. And the remote really sold me. So lets get started first the manual is confusing at best if you think your just going to open the box and slap it on WRONG!!! you have put it together first you will need metric & standard tools and then back to the manual three star headache now that you have put that altogether move on to the remote control now back to the manual after reading it a few times I'm like frick I guess I'll go take the control box back off and see if I can find what there not really telling me and that's not just taking it off you have disassemble the control box that thing on top of the winch then you find the wires there trying to show you how to hook up but wait there's no place to install inside the the control box WTH so now you'll have to drill a hole through the control box housing but wait won't that let water or dust and dirt in why by golly your right again is the controller water proof? where can you mount it that it moves where ever you have need of your new tool yes you could mount it under the hood of your truck but then you would have to unwire the remote this defeats the reason I chose this winch. Like I said not bad for the money but I would not replace it with the same one. Make sure it has a built it remote and comes fully assembled. ... show more

I use it in the wired remote mode because it appears that there are additional steps in wiring or parts needed for the wireless remotes to work. Instructions are vague but it works fine. I put it in a 2" receiver tray so I can put it on the front or back of my Jeep, the back of my truck or on my car trailer. I wired it to a plug and long set of heavy duty jumper cables to keep it portable. So far I've only used it for dragging logs out of the brush for firewood but it worked good for the cost. ... show more

It randomly goes off, what ever the last command from the remote was. It bent my bumper cause of this. So i have it in free spool, it still randomly goes off.

For the most part it seems to be a decent winch, just installed it on my trailer today. I was disappointed that it didn't come with a mounting bracket or the bracket for the roller setup so I had to fabricate my own. The instructions are very poor but someone with basic electrical knowledge can work through it. We will see later this week how it holds up pulling a car onto my trailer that's been sitting for years ... show more
