It is a bit heavy, and does not really hold a charge long and it takes a while to actually charge. It doesn't do the best job but it is ok for traveling since I do travel all the time for work. I don't love it but it is ok.

It works well! I wish the charge would last longer. I have very thick hair and it takes time to section snd straighten but overall love the product. It’s easy to use and that’s great for me! It’s pretty easy to hold. The only drawback I have is that I sometimes hit the on/off button which also changes the temp settings while using. I’m sure it will travel well, I just have not done it. It comes with a travel case, it’s convenient in size. Also, the way it’s designed I haven’t burned myself while getting close to the roots. Overall, it works great! ... show more

Update: Now that I have used it a couple of times, it’s a pain to charge and it doesn’t last long at all. While charging the product and plug get really hot, makes me think it will over heat. Does straighten my hair somewhat but since my hair is wavy to curly it needs more time and the charger just doesn’t last for that. If you have straight hair and just want less frizz and smoothness then it may work for you but if you need to use it for longer it’s not worth it. Also the travel case doesn’t fit the charger so that’s not smart at all! Too bad I’m out of my return window. Pros: Very compact Light weight Heats up fast Makes my hair smooth and silky Cons: Charge doesn’t last too long ... show more

For someone who has never mastered the art of hair (and who is always running late), this tool is a godsend. I have struggled with blow drying with a round brush, using a flat iron, hot rollers, velcro rollers, and any number of variations. This is as easy as using a hairbrush, and I can now - finally - look more professional when I show up to work (and with minimal effort). It also tames the frizz I get from a rainy day. I am so pleased! In fact, a colleague complimented my hair for the first time, uh, EVER, the first day I used it! I have frizzy, fine hair and don't have much volume and hence don't prefer using flat iron to straighten as it makes my hair look even more sleek and takes away the volume. But that was not the case when I used tymo porta. It heated up very quickly, did its job (straighten) and still did not make my hair look less voluminous. I will be carrying it everywhere I travel. Will always be in my bag from now on. I like the size (of course it's portable so it's gotta be small) and how it feels while straightening hair. Felt pretty grippy and didn't feel like it can easily slip or fall off from your hand. Overall amazing product. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a portable straightener.. 2 cons: 1. I wish the travel pouch was big enough to fit the charger and cable in it but thats not a deal breaker and all 2. I wish the heating plate/bristle part was removable so it can be cleaned. First I just want to say, ignore the bad reviews! I have a feeling people that are dissatisfied with this may not have even read the instructions. BUT ANYWAY, if you are thinking about getting one, BUY IT! I hesitated for weeks on buying this because of people’s negative reviews about the battery life. Which is a huge deal for something that is cordless and its soul purpose is to be a portable hair straightener lol. But I figured hey, if it’s true…I can just return it. First, look at the packaging! It immediately feels like it’s worth the money and I don’t even find $50 to be a lot for a good hair straightener. Packaging was beautiful. Following the instructions, I charged it for 2 hours before use. Read further instructions on how to correctly utilize it for my hair type. I was so excited to test it out! My hair is thick and wavy and usually takes a good 30-40 minutes to straighten. This took me maybe 15-20 minutes! I sectioned my hair and basically brushed it through my hair like I would when brushing and it straightened it almost effortlessly! It did not die, nor is the battery close to dying!! I love love love it! This was the first time, and so far so good. If I run into any issues, I will be sure to update my review! But for now, this was an amazing purchase!! :) highly recommend! ... show more
