Works better than I expected, this is the best of the hair straightening brushes that I've tried. That being said, this isn't going to replace my traditional straightening iron. It takes a couple minutes to come up to temperature, but does get hot enough to mostly straighten my wavy hair. It gets my hair straight, but it takes significantly more passes with the Porta Pro than a regular flat iron for me to achieve the same effect. I found with my long hair, that it works best for me to use the hand not holding the brush to pull the ends of my hair at about a 45 degree angle from the brush to create some tension so the hair touches the base of the brush better where the heat is. It also works better for me when I use it with the bristles facing upward, so more of my hair will touch the plates. My hair does get straight, but is still kind of poofy/voluminous, which may be a pro for some people who want more volume, but I like my hair to be flat when it is straight. I'm really impressed with the quality of it, it even came with its own little travel bag to keep in my purse if I wanted. I think this is great for travel, young girls just learning to do their hair, and quick touchups. I will also mention that the handle gets quite hot if it is on for more than a few minutes, not hot enough to burn me, but borderline uncomfortable. I have long hair and it takes me about 15 minutes to section off and get through all the layers. For someone with shorter hair, it would probably be much quicker and the device wouldn't heat up as much for them.

I love this TYMO Cordless Hair Straightener Brush. I am so happy it is rechargeable or can be used while plugged in. This brush may be small but it definitely is handy when I’m traveling or just need a touch up when out. It is small and compact so I just throw it in my purse to have when I need it. It is lightweight, easy to grip, heats up quickly, and well worth the price.

This cordless hair straightener brush is far superior to a knockoff (read: cheap) version I ordered. First, it doesn't just come with a charging cable and you have to find the plug. This one has it's own USB-C wall plugin. THANK YOU, TYMO! Second, it has a "flight mode" switch on the side so it can't accidentally turn on while you're traveling and bags are being jostled. Third, my hair glides through the brush like butter. The cheap one felt like it was going to pull my hair out, and it didn't brush smoothly. It was like there was a texture on the tines, or at the very least a super matte finish that prevented smooth gliding. Finally, I love that I can use it to straighten and curl my hair. My hair, which is down to between my shoulder blades, doesn't get tangled in it when I wrap it around to curl it. The only thing I don't like: The case. Yay for including a (very nice) case, but it ONLY fits the brush. The wall plugin is too big to fit in the case with it. While I get that it's a travel case, if I'm gone for a while and need to charge it, I have to carry the plug separately. I prefer to keep everything together so I don't lose it!

This is an awesome CORDLESS hair straightener brush. This pro version holds enough battery power for my medium length hair but I have fairly straight hair and not curly but it does get frizzy and bushy and this helps it straighten them out and make it shiny. If I use it in various upward motion and curl the hair, it will add volume. This should be used on dry hair and I like using it to calm down my bedhead in the mornings. This is great for travel and I love that it comes with a cute little case.

This is a convenient little hair straightener brush. It’s nice to carry with me or leave in my car when my hair needs to be freshened up (especially on a humid day.) It comes with a pouch to hold it in which is helpful! The charge does seem to last a fairly good amount of time. I don’t use it right after I blow dry; I use my regular straightener for that. This is nice for those on-the-go hair emergencies!

I’m sure you can guess that my favorite feature about this product is that it’s cordless. I hate having to move a cord out of the way and it restricting how far I can go. I can use this brush pretty much anywhere. Sitting on my bed, in the bathroom, in the living room. It heats up super fast!
