It takes a lot for me to write a glowing review of anything, and the Tymo Airbeam totally warrants it. I was previously using a Chi hot air brush with paddle and round brush attachments (an exclusive kit from Ulta). It took a long time to dry my hair, and the round brushes pulled my hair badly and blew a lot of hot air onto my neck. I’d be so sweaty afterward. It never gave me that “salon blowout” look – I could never get the waves out of my hair (especially at the crown) and make it smooth. I shopped for something that I hoped would glide through my hair easier and work faster, and that didn’t feel as big and clunky as some of the other popular models with oval-shaped heads. I decided to give this a try and I kid you not, my jaw dropped after my first use. I felt like someone in one of those Instagram ads. I’m no professional, but I was able to get a smooth, bouncy blowout on my first try. I have very thick shoulder length hair, and what used to take 30 minutes (and never get fully dry at the roots) took me 15 minutes with far superior results. (I always wrap my hair in a microfiber towel to get as much moisture out before drying.) Whatever magic is in this technology, it doesn’t blow as hot yet dries my hair faster and smooths out the waves. And it stays that way for multiple days, even in the summer heat. My only minor gripes are: 1) the twist mechanism to turn it on and off is hard to grip and turn. Maybe it will loosen up a bit over time. Some texture on that part would be helpful for easier gripping. And 2) although I love the compact size, the handle could be just a little longer. I find I end up covering up the air vent at the bottom with my hand when trying to reach the back of my head. Maybe with practice it will get easier. This feels like a high quality product, and makes my Chi dryer look like a cheap toy. Super impressed!

I love this dryer brush ! Its an awesome item. It use to be items like this was difficult or bulky and hard to use. Not this one. Its light weight and easy to use. It gets really hot on the hottest settings. Im able to quickly dry my shoulder length hair in no time. . I love it. My hair comes out soft and shinny and healthy looking . I highly recommend this brush dryer. Its awesome ! Love the pink !

Ok… so Tymo got me again. I’ve really been trying hard not to purchase items that are similar to previous purchases. For reference I am an African American with 4A type curly natural hair. I really love using my hot tools blow dry styler and was hesitant to try this one but I did. Pros: It’s sleeker and has dual sides of the styling comb which helps get to your roots much better. I recommend starting at the bottom of your curly hair using the bristle side. The side with the smaller teeth will get stuck in curls and pull your hair out. Once the brush has somewhat dried the hair you can flip it to the other side which aids in getting the hair much straighter while drying. My hair had a lot of bounce and body and I must say it was so soft to the touch. The texture was light and smooth which I loved. It also does dry the hair pretty fast. Cons: While I do like that it does dry the hair quickly I do wish it had more heat settings. It really only has two and a cool setting. For the price I would like more options like a medium heat setting. Because of where the buttons are I also accidentally turned it off a few times while using it. I did not find it that much lighter in weight than my other blow dry brush. I also feel like the price on this could be around $50 vs the current pricing. Overall it is a good tool. I did not get the curling effect using this dryer that I have seen in videos. This brush will give you bouncy soft volume for sure but still went in after with my flat iron for a straighter look. I also wrapped it using the Saran Wrap method. Results were beautiful and bouncy.

I have tried several different brush style hairdryers, including one of the older Tymo ones. This is by far the best one and worth the money. While I haven't exactly mastered the art of using one set of bristles over the others, I can say that this dryer has made a huge difference in the texture, volume, and softness of my hair. For reference, I have naturally curly, long very layered, highlighted thick porus hair that tends to frizz. I straighten my hair. I will not even bore you with the lovely white and grey stray hairs that are randomly popping up in a texture that is reminiscent of hair that grows in another region of your body. It's always been easier to let my hair partially air dry. I am a full time working mom with two kids that always have to be somewhere so I rarely have time to partially air dry before drying my hair. From soaking wet, right out of the towel, this dryer cuts the dry time literally in half. Now, am I fortunate enough to be one of those one pass gals in the video? Um no, more like 3 or 4 passes but the results are fantastic. I alternate with using Wow Dreamcoat (expensive, using up the last of a bottle) and SGX NYC Blaze (smells better and works just as well, at half the price) heat protectant primer sprays. Once hair is coated in spray, I section my hair off. Again, I haven't mastered the art of using one side of the bristles more than the other. I haven't really had the time to fool with it so I just use all of them and roll that bad boy around. I also use the lower heat setting! My hair is so much softer and has natural volume because it is not weighted down by products that are supposed to reduce frizz. I live in a very humid area but so far my hair hasn't frizzed and curled while sweating it out at the ball fields (we aren't in the dead of summer yet, but I am hopeful).

REAL REVIEW for my ladies who still use the revlon volumizer and sick of frying your hair-TOSS IT AND BUY THIS! It is literally the best thing I’ve ever used. Cut my hair drying in half the time and half the heat. My hand isn’t getting burned from touching the freshly stretched section (IYKYK). My ends don’t look OR feel crispy. The best part? I didn’t have to follow up with a flat iron for the roots or ends. The frizz is gone and my hair doesn’t look so fried and damage (blondies know what’s up) I can’t believe I was influenced but this was THE Best prime day purchase to date lol

This thing is quite nice. Dried my hair very quickly when it normally takes forever for my thick, wavy hair to dry. Definitely take your hair in sections, cause it’ll just get tangled up. But once you do that, it’s very easy to use. It’s very good at straightening your hair as well. And to achieve the blow out look, there’s a learning curve that I’m still perfecting. But I’m still glad I bought this guy. Oh and either my electricity is a lil wonky, or this guy takes up a lot of power, because my bathroom lights started to flicker like crazy using the 2nd mode. But I do live in a very old house.

I have mixed feelings about this blow dryer brush. I have very fine, thin hair. I am also suffering from hair loss and mechanical damage from the Revlon blow dryer brush and bleaching. After learning that a lot of my breakage was due to the Revlon brush (which I LOVED) I started searching for a healthier alternative. This seemed promising. However, it does not give the same volume, shine, or smoothness that the Revlon brush did. I got almost no lift and these photos are with both root lifter and Bumble & Bumble thickening spray. It also does not leave the hair shiny and smooth like my Revlon brush did. It seems like I have tons of fly aways and the hair just doesn't keep shape like it does with the Revlon brush. That being said, this is the fastest blow dryer I've ever used. For my hair type the cool setting is recommended, but that did not work for me. I don't think it would dry anyone's hair on that setting. I use the low setting and it's super fast. I also watched dozens of videos that showed people using it to curl their hair. I tried several times and it never curled my hair at all, so I don't think that it works for that either. I do see a lot of hair in the brush after using, so it does seem to pull a bit. As far as long term hair health we'll just have to see if it does better. Overall it's a good blow dryer and maybe better for your hair than the Revlon but it definitely doesn't give the same results. I'm going to continue using it in hopes of healthier hair.

I am 48 with shoulder length, wavy hair. I nearly always straighten my hair in some form because it tends to get frizzy, and I have an extremely professional corporate job. I had such high hopes, and I really wanted to love this - but I just can’t. For clarity, I usually let my hair air dry overnight and straighten it in the morning. I was so excited about this! Yes, the blow dryer is fantastic and my hair does feel soft, and yes- I was able to redirect my hair easily to create volume. This device is light enough to handle easily and the cord is extremely long - which are both really attractive bonuses. This tool did not make my hair shiny or less frizzy. Even after a fresh haircut it made the sides poofy and I could not get them to lay right. For my length and type of hair, I think the problem is that the barrel is just too big. Even with sectioned, towel-dried hair, it just didn’t work with the barrel size. I do love the heat/cool settings, and while the device does sound like a hair dryer, it’s reasonable and not super loud. I also feel the temperature control is adequate, and I did not have safety concerns or burn my fingers. I’m a long time fan of the Tymo ring brush, but I was hoping for something that might shape my ends better- this just wasn’t it. Longer hair ladies this might really work for you, just don’t expect a salon-like blow out.
