    • Loving Sonos!
Absolutely love Sonos! I recently splurged and bought two Sonos Ones and two Plus:1's to replace an Echo/external speaker setup that I had in my house. Many people complain about not being able to stream over bluetooth to the Sonos but having come from that world, the way Sonos uses Wifi is so much nicer, especially if you have multiple devices that you want to be able to control the music from. I use Alexa pretty often but mainly the stock services...I don't use many of the 3rd party skills...so I can't comment on how the skills work or don't work. But I will say that the Alexa functionality on the Sonos One is on par with what I experienced on my Echo Dot. Sensitivity seems to be pretty much the same, speed of responses the same, etc. I also see complaints about the Sonos app...personally I really like it. They make it very easy to create playlists that contain a mix of music from a variety of different sources. But there are also plenty of 3rd party apps that will work with Sonos so if you don't like the free one, try one from a different vendor. The only thing I wish it could do would be to work with Siri instead (or in addition to) Alexa. But that's Apple's fault I guess...overall I couldn't be happier with Sonos! ... show more

What can I say: these actually live up to all the reviews. Paired in stereo, wall mounted in a large front room they disappear and sound sound pretty amazing. However, not perfect. Alexa Voice commands with these can be tricky. I find myself shouting at them playing low volume music. If you keep the voice interaction simple and or use your phone, you should be fine. There is also not a very seamless Spotify integration that is evident here. All works, but not smoothly. Lastly, these little speakers were expensive. Are they worth it. Yes. I now have a single solve for home audio. Do they sound as good as your old stereo / receiver. No...but provided a sub ($700??!!) and a sound bar ($400??!!) and maybe a play 5 ($$$) to add to the mix. I think they will be suffiant. Note: Do not expect high volume, bone crushing bass here. Aside from that the speaker build is top notch. I even dead dropped one by accident. Solid, & unscathed. So, I you don’t mind spending some money, I definitely recommend them.     • Great sound and great look
These great sounding speakers are beautiful but also disappear into the room they're placed in, which is nice because speakers should almost never be decorative centerpieces. The sound is deep without booming and crisp without being shrill, all with room-filling volume that never seems to clip. The sound does skew "basey" for talk radio, but is perfect for jazz, rap, rock, and 80s pop. My one complaint (this is on Amazon, not on Sonos) is that Alexa integration is incomplete. The device does not allow "drop in" and cannot be grouped in the Alexa app. As I understand it, Amazon restricts this functionality at the moment, and understandably so. I imagine that the Sonos One already eats into Echo sales, and full integration would only worsen the problem. I never imagined myself being a "Sonos Guy" but this initial foray into their ecosystem is changing my mind. ... show more

    • Great Quality, Low Effort Home Theater
Like all Sonos speakers they have that great Sonos sound. As part of a surround setup with the Sonos Arc, these speakers provide a great range of sound, and with the tuning from the Sonos app, can make knocks on doors and foot steps in movies really sound like they're coming from left, right, or behind. It sometimes confuses guests who look at the actual door to the home, which is great. These are great for a low-effort home theater setup, especially if you don't want to run wiring throughout the living room. The latency over wireless is pretty good if you use the dedicated Sonos network, or have a good quality router/access points in your home. They look beautiful and sleek, and blend nicely into my home. The speakers include ethernet ports if you'd rather wire them up for improved latency. If you play a lot of games on your TV and are sensitive to latency, this is going to be a must. On wireless, the speakers average about 70ms of latency reliably, which can really mess with audio cues in games. ... show more

I use them for my surround-sound, with my arc sound bar. The Set up was done in less than 15 minutes. The instructions were clear AND so simple. Plug and play. The separation of sound around the room is breathtaking. I would recommend them.

    • Needs to Fix Amazon Integration
This is a great product. I have 4 Sonos 1 and 2 mini sound bars. I like how the sound just works with with no lag between speakers. What I don’t like is the error message I hear every time I run a Voice Routine. It bugs to no end and it appears to be something neither Sonos Nor Amazon is willing to address. ... show more

    • Blows the Echo out of the water
It's just a better sound. I'm in a band, I'm a bit of an audiophile, I know what to listen for. No this is not replacing my home theatre system or surround sound (although it wouldn't be a bad replacement). BUT to throw in the kitchen, in the office, in the gym, in the bathroom, any room in the house, it sounds incredible. Alexa and spotify work seamlessly for me, and I bought four and merged two for stereo and the other two are in different rooms. Couldn't be happier. So I'd say stick with Sonos who know sound ... show more

    • I have had at least one of every sonos speaker since 2012- This is the worst sonos product.
Every other sonos product just works. These do not. The sounds is great on sonos, and you can read about that anywhere. The premium in price, to me at least, is the convenience and how things just work. The line-in consistently has problems. I figured it was just other users, probably like my parents, that don't use the equipment correctly then blame the product. That's not the case here. It is glitchy and it does not work. I foolishly bought two of these and gave one as a gift so now I'm stuck with it. The speaker is fine, but I would have been just as happy with the regular sonos 1. I believe this will have far reaching, negative consequences for sonos in the long term. As an early adopter of sonos, and then giving it a year for the glitches to be fixed on this device- it is fairly indicative of something wrong at their company. ... show more
