These are by far the hardest boots to break in. New insoles and they are still making my feet hurt. The look is nice but that's it. If you are looking for comfortable boots avoid these. For 215$ the expectation is far from the actual product.

I recently purchased my second pair of these, and they are fantastic. The first pair lasted almost two years, whereas other boots wore out within 6 months, including Redwings (I'm pretty hard on my shoes, being a bigger guy and working in a welding shop). The square toe is great, very roomy for those of us with wide feet. The insoles held up as long as the outer parts, although I'd recommend changing them for comfort after some time. Very nice boots, I work in the West Texas oilfield and last time I bought boots I bought Justin's. These Twisted X are much more comfortable and much more well made. Definitely recommend and I will buy again!
