These are easy to installvon a new tracker boat with versatrak rails. Just need 1/4 carriage bolts, nuts, washers and boom installed. Versatrak wanted boohoo bucks to make this happen. I got these for my smaller travel yak. Pretty decent quality for the price. You can move them into different angles. I had to return them because my rods have short butts. They are too short for the holder. If they came in a smaller size I would get them.

I use them for light tackle live bait fishing but extra care is needed to make sure the holder doesn't come out of it's socket. I wouldn't be surprised if I didn't loose the the whole thing overboard one day.

Used self tapping screws to mount to the rail of my pontoon boat this morning. Tightened the holder to the base very well. Set pole in & started trolling with a Dipsy Diver. Looked away, looked back again and the holder had rotated down, ready to drop the pole out. Reeled in, loosened & retightened the most I could & tried again. Same thing. You can see in the pic where the plastice teeth are all buggered up. This might be ok for holding a pole when drowning worms, but useless for anything more. ... show more
