Ok, let me tell you, this took me like 2 days to put together. Mostly because I did it by myself with a little help from my 10 year old son, and also the instructions showed that I needed a screwdriver, which I used until the last part. I should have used an power tool with a screwdriver tip. Because it was so so difficult to screw the screws in by hand holy cow. If i would have used a power drill at the beginning, I would have finished in half the time! Because when screwing in any of the pieces, there are not pre drilled holes. There is a tiny dot to show where to screw it in. So if you don’t have a power drill with a screwdriver tip, it takes a lot of muscle and it’s hard to keep the screw straight sometimes. Also, in a couple different steps you have to put in certain pieces and it gives you a measurement, but doesn’t specify what kind of measurement it is.. I had to skip a step and wait until the end because I had no idea what correct measurement it was asking. It was a part for the drawers. The instructions are literally only pictures.. and very little words at the top of each step, well most steps. All the pieces have a sticker on them so you know exactly which ones you need to put together with what. The hardest part for me was having to put the top bunk on the bottom. Since i only had my son helping me I had to actually put them both on their sides and screw the top bunk legs to the bottom and then push them both upright. Even with a second person, it will be very hard to put the top on the bottom, just be careful when you do, because the dowels you put in the holes can break. And they don’t give you any extra. Other than that, it is a very sturdy bed! The color is very beautiful and my kids love it! I gave it 4 stars because of the instructions not being 100% clear. I wish they would have given actual measurements instead of putting numbers and making me have to it figure out. ... show more

The bunk came in 3 large boxes. The boxes were well packaged but there were 2 pieces that I had to fix up with wood glue because small pieces had broken off. The pieces were well labeled. You just had to be careful to follow the instructions and save yourself the time having to undo what you had already put together because you failed to orient certain pieces properly. The stairs were the most challenging to me. If one of the pieces is not in the correct orientation, the stairs end up forming a weird shape. My wife ended up coming in to assist……… those stairs were a test to our marriage. I could see the tension build up because after 3 tries, the stairs still formed a weird shape, until the 4th try when we got the pieces in the right orientation. I don’t suggest you do this with your spouse 😂😂😂😂. I also didn’t like that the pieces that the mattress sits on did not come already connected with a piece of cord or string for spacing as well as to add more strength for them not to easily buckle. All in all, it’s a nice bunk, I love the color. It took 2 hours fixing the broken pieces, waiting for the glue to set and 5 hours to put the whole thing together. ... show more

Half of the stickers fell off the wood so we had no idea which parts were what. Also, instructions did not specify how to connect the wood and had to take it apart and change to add the steps. Beautiful wood, but instructions could be better.

    • Very sturdy!
I was pleasantly surprised with this bunk bed. Bought it for my granddaughters ages 4 and 6. It did take me 10 hours to put together but well worth the extra time. Each piece was wrapped in foam. All pieces were there in all 3 boxes. Directions were fairly good and each piece was numbered. Only improvement I would suggest is to better number the hardware. It was numbered with tiny paper squares which were hard to keep up with. Overall, a good product. ... show more

Definitely takes some time to assemble but that's to be expected. It is important to note that stair access cannot be flipped and that can be an issue if you have a very small room with few options for arranging as I do.
