Description

AirFly SE is a compact Bluetooth transmitter that plugs into any standard 3.5mm headphone jack and wirelessly connects one pair of Bluetooth headphones or earbuds. Use it anywhere audio is only available via a headphone jack, like airplane seatback entertainment, gym treadmills, hotel TVs, gaming consoles like Nintendo Switch, or older car stereos. AirFly SE works with all Bluetooth wireless headphones — not just AirPods. Sony, Bose, Beats, Samsung Galaxy Buds, and any headphone that connects to a phone over Bluetooth will pair with AirFly SE. If your headphones support standard Bluetooth and can enter pairing mode, they're compatible. Plug AirFly SE into the headphone jack of your audio source. Power it on and it will automatically enter pairing mode (light flashes white and amber). Put your headphones in pairing mode. AirFly SE will detect and connect automatically within a few seconds. Once paired, it will reconnect to the same headphones automatically on future uses. AirFly SE delivers 20+ hours of battery life on a single charge, which covers most flights and back-to-back gym sessions. It charges via USB-C. The amber light stays solid while charging and turns off when fully charged. AirFly SE may work with hearing aids that support standard Bluetooth and can enter pairing mode without a smartphone app. However, hearing aids that rely on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or require a companion app to pair are not compatible. Because hearing aid Bluetooth implementations vary widely by brand and model, we recommend checking with your hearing aid manufacturer before purchasing. If you have questions about your specific device, our support team is happy to help. AirFly SE has a standard single 3.5mm plug, which works with most seatback entertainment systems. If your airplane uses a dual-prong audio outlet (common on older international flights), you'll need the Twelve South Deluxe International Airline Headphone Adapter ($9.99), which is sold separately and has a single 3.5mm output that AirFly SE plugs directly into. • Perfect for Travel
Style: AirFly SE Color: White
This product is perfect for travel. Pairing it with my AirPods Pro was ridiculously simple, turn it on, press the button, and it connects without any fuss, and the audio stays clear with no noticeable delay, even when watching movies on in-flight screens. The battery life is honestly the best part; it really does last over 20 hours, and I’ve gone through multiple flights and workouts before needing to recharge. It’s lightweight, easy to throw into a travel pouch, and feels sturdier than I expected for its size. The only thing I wish it had was dual-headphone pairing like the higher-end model, but for the price, the reliability and sound quality make it absolutely worth it. If you use wireless headphones and travel even occasionally, this little device makes the whole experience a lot better. ... show more

    • Easy to use and works great
Style: AirFly SE Color: White
I've been using this for years. It takes up almost no space in my electronics bag. It connects to airpods easily. I can even walk up and down the aisles while listening to the movie. Recharge at your destination and its ready to go!

    • Very useful! With a bit of temporary problems
Style: AirFly SE Color: White
My computer bluetooth was no longer working, so I needed a bluetooth to audio connection adapter so I can continue to listen to music while working. This was one of the first products to show up, and seeing the reviews, it seemed like it works great, so I decided to order this and try using it. I do not regret it! First off it was easy to connect the first time to my earphones and plug into my computer. Easy to put away, especially because of its small size and little bag included. The sound is also great compared to my earphones originally with no static at all. Also to those wondering, it connects not only to Apple products but also any other earphones or headphones. I couple things to watch out for though, is that first off the sound would sometimes cut off and you would have to restart the AirFly device to reconnect the sound. Usually it disconnects on average (For me) about every 30 - 60 minutes when using for prolonged time. Also, sometimes the sound would start going a bit bad, and usually to fix it, I would have to restart my earphones to fix it. Although after using it for more times, the problem becomes less of a problem and occurs less often. Overall 4 stars for its usefulness, but also for its time-to-time problems. ... show more

    • I didn't actually expect it to work lol
Style: AirFly SE Color: White
Review Image by Jimmy Anderson
When I first saw this I figured it was a gimmick and wasn't going to actually work. Specifically bought it for air travel. I bring my aipords with me and if this worked then I wouldn't have to bring an old school pair of headphones too. The pairing took me a minute becuase my aipords were connected to my phone so I had to disconnect that before it would pair. After that, it paired fine and worked for my 2 hour flight. Pleasantly surprised. They'll live in my travel bag for future use. ... show more

    • I Needed This!
Style: AirFly SE Color: White
This is exactly what I was looking for! Very versatile. I used it because I have an older Bose CD player that doesn't have W-Fi. It paired quickly and easily with my Bose Quiet headphones. I expected that because I checked to be sure the headphones were compatible with this gadget. Great packaging, instructions were easy enough to decipher, and I am totally satisfied with my purchase. I wish it would turn off automatically when not in use. I don't think it does that, and if you forget to move the toggle control off, it will drain the charge. ... show more

    • Battery stopped charging
Style: AirFly SE Color: White
This Bluetooth transmitter works OK. It gets easily paired with my wireless headphones. The sound quality though is plain, no bass; I am not even sure if the sound is stereo. My major issue, however, is not a sound but a battery. I bought the device about 20 months ago and used it occasionally, not every day. Unfortunately, I recently noticed that it is not getting charged anymore. Manual advices to doubt click on “+” (volume up) button to inquire the battery status and check the indicator. Well, the indicator in my transmitter does not blink at all. I can still use the device when it is connected to the charger. But understandably it is not the way it is supposed to be used onboard of the airplane. As usually, return window is closed and additional warranty not purchased. This must be a lesson for me. ... show more

    • Transmitter works with elliptical at Planet Fitness
Style: AirFly SE Color: White
4.9 Stars!!! I'd give it 5 Stars but it seems the charge runs out after about 1.5 hours of use. I bought this hoping it would work on the elliptical machine at Planet Fitness. I had tried other wireless transmitters that didn't work so I was really, really skeptical and this was going to be my last attempt before accepting that I would always and forever have to use the old fashioned, wired headphones. This device works amazingly well!! I am SOOOO happy. Being on the elliptical for 45 minutes is so boring without being able to watch TV and I don't always like the music they play in the gym. Using the old fashioned, wired headphones made me feel like I was a relic from the 1990s. This Twelve South AirFly SE wireless audio transmitter makes me feel like I'm operating in this century. It pairs well with my airpods. There is a specific sequence for pairing, obviously, and it has to be done with each use but, again, this transmitter is so worth it. After my cardio (and TV viewing,) I can switch to my workout playlist on my phone easily since my airpods are ready to go. I'm very happy with this purchase. ... show more
