I purchased this Tutel hard shell folding bed cover for my 2023 Tacoma and have been very happy with it overall. The instructions are decent, but the install does take a bit of intuition and patience to get everything aligned properly. Once installed, it looks sleek and functions great. It opens and folds easily, and has held up well through regular use. Just keep in mind it’s not fully waterproof. A little water can still get through in heavy rain or at the corners. That said, it does a good job minimizing moisture. Over the past month, I’ve also noticed a slight improvement in gas mileage, which was a nice bonus. Overall, this is a great value cover for Tacoma owners looking for something functional and stylish.

This is a great cover at this price point. The seller sent me a message before shipping to verify my vehicle, which I really liked. It’s extremely sturdy and looks great on my Tacoma. My only gripe is the instructions it came with. They’re not very detailed and it took me about 2 hours to install it. To be fair, I’ve never installed any truck bed accessories and I’m typically slow at this type of thing. Still, I think it’s amazing and it was about $700 cheaper than a more well-known equivalent

Really great product and great service so far! Just received it today and was able to install within 25 min! Sturdy and the folding mechanism works smoothly! Did not have any hardware missing and so far it seems like it is worth its value! I still have to check if its leak proof so fingers crossed! Otherwise, 10/10 would recommend

Well designed, but better instructions should be provided. I installed it myself on my 2025 Tacoma 6 foot bed, and needed to use some parts that were not explicitly shown in the basic instructions. Yes, the parts said Toyota, and once I saw how they engaged the factory internal bed rails all was good. The instructions are the only reason a dropped off one star. The unit fits super well and while I can't swear that it's 100% water sealing under ALL conditions, it's been dry inside so far. I installed it myself, in about 45 minutes. If I had understood the instructions, maybe about 25 - 30 minutes. Looks great and overall I'm happy with my purchase.

Easy to install with 1 person although an extra set of hands would make it easier to sit on the bed for the first time. Looks good but can’t really comment on durability or if it keeps most of the rain water out of the bed. Customer service was excellent as far as making sure you get the right size cover for your truck.

I’ve never shopped for a tonneau cover before purchasing this one. My primary goal in getting a cover was to prevent stuff from walking away from my 2025 Tacoma if I had to leave a load unattended for a bit. Secondly, was to keep snow and rain out of the bed. Third, to save money, I hoped to do the install myself. This 45 lb. hard trifold cover accomplishes all 3 goals at an extremely reasonable price point. There’s lots of great information buried here in the reviews for this cover. I’ll reiterate a few items I learned here that were helpful to me and may be to others. The horizontal top of the bed side walls in the 4th gen. Tacoma noticeably taper towards the tailgate. This becomes apparent once you install the cover. The gap between the outside of the bed side wall near the cab and the cover is about 1 1/2” on each side. There is no gap down by the tailgate (see pictures). It can make it look like the cover is on cattywampus. It’s not. I’m sure there are other covers that handle the situation differently, but keeping the cover symmetrical makes the most sense to me. Because the Tacoma has rails around the inside of the bed, this cover attaches to the truck differently than it would for many other types of trucks. When you order this cover for a newer Tacoma, it should come with an additional parts kit to use the bed rails to secure the cover to the truck (see pictures). Armed with the knowledge of the items above, it took me about 45 minutes to install the cover without any surprises. Having done it once, I could probably do it in less than half that time now. The only tools I needed were a knife and an Allen wrench. When it’s all said and done, I am very pleased with this purchase. It looks great, adds protection from the elements and allows you to secure items in the bed.
