I bought this controller for when my elite controller 2 breaks every few months and I wait for a warranty replacement to get sent to me. Love the retro colors. The back buttons are in a great location and are easy to bind to whatever buttons you choose. The thumb sticks are grippy and feel tight and responsive. The textured grip on the controller and triggers provides great grip. My hands get warm and sweaty but the plastic is much easier to clean then a rubber grip. I have been using it for 3 weeks now playing Apex. The cable that comes with the controller is cheap and rubber, but I play on a monitor so I just use a shorter braided cable I already had. Playing at a desk with a monitor means having a wired controller is not bad at all. The D pad is a little bit mushy. I have a wireless headset so I don’t use any of the audio features of the controller. Overall this might replace my elite controller 2. The only features I really used on that controller was the paddles and trigger stops. The React-R has the back buttons but no trigger stops but is a whole lot cheaper ($40 compared to $180). I would recommend it for anyone looking to try out paddles/back buttons. Having extra buttons for crouch and jump is a must in shooters to be able to keep both thumbs on your sticks as much as possible. I hope in the future turtle beach can add some trigger stops and a more clicky D pad and this controller will be perfect! ... show more

This is my second controller I’ve had to buy. I noticed that the USB connection is very easily damaged. I don’t ever throw my controller, or drop it. So it’s just normal wear and tear but I find my controller will register as disconnected every once in a blue moon if I move it the wrong way. And I know it’s not the cable or the Xbox, because I’ve used multiple cables, and I’m on my second Xbox and it’s still happening. Other than that - the controller is great. It’s comfortable, and has additional third easy reach back panels - I play call of duty so all they do is piss me off - but for an advanced hobbyist gamer they’d probably come in handy. The headset controls are where the moneys at on this controller - it’s incredibly convenient having that mute there. And then you have your other controls not too far from your finger tips if you’d like to change controller settings, go into increased audio stealth mode, change the EQ, change the input monitoring level, or have your sim assist settings changed. I’ll probably keep buying this controller because I enjoy it so much - but I wish the USB and Headset ports were sturdier so I didn’t have to keep replacing it. ... show more

I used this controller for a few months. I also wanted to do so before writing a review. It was great until the controller start to stop working in the middle of game play. I play for around 10 hours a week max. It stopped working completely last week. I put it away and gave it another go yesterday. The controller worked but the paddles no line worked. I can press the paddles but got function. I had high hopes for this controller. I’ve had cheaper ones that lasted longer. It is very disappointing. ... show more

I bought this controller to use while I was repairing the $200 controller I use on my PC. To say the least I'm never going back to my old one because I love this controller. The back buttons are put in just the right spot and there are only 2 so you're not hitting the wrong button all the time. They are easily mapped while you're one the fly and every button is nice & clicky. You can use joystick extenders if you have larger hands so your fingers are in the right place. It is a wired controller so you don't get any lag and the cable is nice & long but a little stiff. It can be replaced with the cable of your choice. You do have to have a headset the uses a 3.5mm plug to take advantage of the great audio options. Can't beat the price either. ... show more

It's annoying trying to find a decent PC controller that isn't in the $100-$200 range. Let's say you want a pretty good controller that does the bare minimum but you want something durable and feels good to use. Almost impossible. Everything comes with a ridiculous amount of features from trigger tension switches, audio/mic controls, extra buttons in general, RBG lighting, etc etc... Just a lot of them have an unnecessary amount of clutter and usually they are features that you'll never use and knocks the price margin up drastically. Yet cheap controllers are terrible with their toggle sticks dying out fast, their buttons sticking or losing their input feel, and the whole nine yards of degradation. This is a great controller in the basic fields. The wire is good and sturdy, definitely excels among ones that use like a cheap USB-C plug that you'll damage in a week and the cord itself is fabric threaded which is just nice overall protection to it. It also tries to keep features to a bare minimum so extra buttons don't kill hand comfortability. It doesn't have the most amazing grip in the world, but it is the standard so I'll consider it a plus. Trigger pull feels excellent and all buttons have a nice press. Toggle sticks also feel responsive and I don't see them losing their ability to stay stiff. Only thing I didn't like personally was how light it is. Though, I know a lot of people prefer their controllers to not have weight so you'll probably enjoy that. Overall, Turtlebeach made a really good cheap controller. ... show more

Do yourself a favor and don't waste money on more expensive controllers. The D-pad is STURDY. You can press it down hard and it doesn't feel like it's going to break-like two other $200+ controllers I owned. Additionally it's wired so it's not possible for in to emit RF into your hands like wireless controllers do, even when hooked to a USB for wired mode. Solid. Love it.
