My 15 year old decided she wanted a record player for her room. We have a technics direct drive unit with a blue ortofon cartridge connected through a nicer pre-amp and some Aperion speakers in our media room but this unit was purchased for her bedroom. I’m telling you what I have so you know where the feedback is coming from. I chose this unit for her after a lot of searching online. There are lots of decks and systems out there but what tipped the scales for me was the Bluetooth connectivity and the cool look of the deck. Bluetooth was important so she can connect to headphones. So on to the unit. It looks great the wood color of ours is grayer than the reddish wood in the pictures but we preferred that anyway. It does look very cool The sound is pretty good, I gave it a 4 because I’m basing that on the price of the unit and that we connect to a Bose Bluetooth speaker I chose this because it’s mostly manual (that should be part of the vinyl experience) but I do wish it had auto-return as my kid forgets and the cartridge is sat on the vinyl for hours or even days The only minor issue was that the belt shifted on the drive spindle and we had to move that back between the guides, this caused the records to play too fast The Bluetooth connectivity with an older Bose speaker takes an age to connect, like FOREVER, it’s fine with a newer model speaker so this could just be the older speaker having connection issues but it dropped the score for us to a 3 on that because it is so very frustrating, it’s like waiting for a tube amp to warm up! The cartridge can be upgraded which is a great feature, be interesting to throw my ortofon blue on there sometime Overall this was a great purchase and she continues to add to her vinyl collection which I’d say is in part down to this unit and is what the vinyl experience is all about, that connection with something physical ... show more

I purchased this item to play LP Vinyl Records for the purpose of converting the music to mp3 files. The information in the manual describes how to interface to the USB port and have mp3 made. But, the info and directions refers to an outdated version of Audacity. My primary purpose for purchasing this turntable was to convert around 200 LPs to digital format. The current detail information available in the manual is not adequate. The outdated pages of the Audacity software were scanned and almost impossible to read. All of that said, the turntable gives excellent sound when connecting via bluetooth to a speaker. That's good, but my purpose for this product is to produce digital files - which I have not yet been able to do. ... show more

Everyone at our house loves this turntable. We fight over who is gonna use it first. Very rich sound quality. High treble and very phat bass, crystal clear sound. We listen to everything from Taylor Swift to Rush to Morbid Angel or Van Halen. This thing is awesome!!! We got 4 people at our house who listen to vinyl and we all approve of it. I have been fairly happy with this unit. It has reasonably good sound, and has good features like usb so you can digitize your old albums. They put together a fairly good turntable with some excellent features for the price. BUT a particularly irritating thing is the lack of an auto return; if you are not Johnny on the spot when the record is fully played, your cartridge is subjected to unnecessary wear as the record keeps turning and turning. It seems a strange place to cut costs when the rest of the package is so good. Another thing I noted is the box was HAMMERED HARD, probably by a forklift. One of the forks penetrated the inner box; when I got it I thought for sure the turntable would be damaged, but there was no visible damage to the turntable itself. The turntable has performed well, so no damage I guess. I would note that the outer shipping box did not have damage, so it was not Amazon shippers who caused the damage to the inner box. That happened prior to shipping, with obvious damage. They shipped it anyway; that 's cause for concern. If they shipped obviously damaged merchandise without checking it to me, it seems it could happen to you. I would have given this unit a five star rating without the aforementioned items; but because of them I give it 3 1/2 stars overall. ... show more
