I watched a video for an electric sand coffee maker. Interesting but 20 mins to heat the sand and then another 10 to make the coffee. This electric coffee maker took 40 seconds to make a cup of very good Turkish coffee. Yes, it didn't have the nice looking foam top. However the coffee was great and done in record time. What you need to know before you buy and use, is that: 1. There is no on/off switch Once it's plugged in and on the base, it's on 2. This cooks VERY quick. You NEED to stand there and watch it. 3. The Stainless Steel pot makes it very easy to clean. 4. The short handle makes it a bit difficult to poor. 5. The folding handle is a connivence for storing. However I don't know how this will hold up over time. At this price point it is a very small concern. Overall, this is a good deal for a very quick, and good cup of Turkish coffee. I'll be ordering another one for our shore home. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This review is for the ETHNIQ stainless steel 4 cup capacity foldable handle Turkish coffee pot. When I first ordered this pot, I wasn’t sure what to expect since I only had Turkish coffee made the old fashion way on the stove. I was so anxious to give it a try, and when I did I was pleasantly surprised. The coffee tasted just like a cup of true Turkish coffee made the old-fashion way. The only thing it was missing is the foam on the top, since that’s achieved when you brew the coffee slowly. It is nice, however, to have the ability to quickly brew an authentic tasting Turkish coffee. The heating element is very quick and can boil water in less than a minute. You can also get a little foamy top by regulating the cycle with lifting it off the base and turning the heat off. Keep in mind that you won’t get a lot of foam that way, but just enough to make a difference. The pot has a light to show that it’s on. It will also turn off when the pot is empty, which is a nice safety feature. You even receive a measuring scoop for your coffee. I am so thrilled to have this Turkish coffee pot and highly recommend it. ... show more

This is a replacement for a wonderful coffee pot that I ruined. I loved the old one. (No longer available). It was so fast. The coffee was brewed by the time my cream was heated up in the microwave. This one is at least four times slower. Very disappointing. I don’t know what kind of power it runs on, but it is very very slow for a quick Greek coffee maker. Very disappointed . I would definitely not buy this again. Going to try to figure out how to get one that’s faster. Maybe it is just my imagination, but the coffee does not taste as good either for some weird reason. I frequently make coffee for visitors so brew several cups in a row. This coffee pot causes a problem. I am hoping it stops working, so I have an excuse to order another brand. 4/28/24. Update.
