The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love this fireplace insert! Not only was the price cheaper than most others I found, but the quality is amazing also!! Heats up quick, not too loud, has a thermostat so it kicks on and off as needed, cools off quickly, the actual glass is not hot to the touch, only above it where the heater blows out, and it has different flame colors to choose from! It looks so realistic on the orange color or the orange and blue mix! There is orange, red, and blue, plus a mixture of all of them if you want. On setting 7 it'll rotate through all the colors every like 10 seconds or so. My kids like that one but I prefer the plain orange. The sizing was a little off from what I needed, I knew that when I bought it but I loved it so I planned on making it work somehow. It was too short by about 2-3 inches, but we did a little DIY and made it work! My husband created a little box out of wood to prop it up on, then we added some cheapy crown molding to the front of the prop box with small nails, and spray painted it white to match our fireplace. You seriously can't even tell! I love that it's a recessed fireplace insert. It looks so real! Any other recessed fire places we looked at costed WAY more money. This is a steal of a price for the settings and quality you get. Also feel confident that the seller will help with it in any way possible. I didn't receive my remote with it. I was pretty disappointed and wanted the remote bad enough that I was going to return it. They were prompt at answering my emails and they shipped me out another remote right away. If you're on the fence about this just buy it. You'll LOVE IT!! Pictures can't really capture the beauty of it.

Had problems from the get go with this. Bought it for the thermostat but it would heat up when it was set at 70° and it was 80° in the camper. Contacted customer support twice but no help. Now just over 6 months in it no longer heats. Buyer beware. UPDATE: Still buyer beware. They responded quickly after our first review. Sent out another unit. Same issue as before. Cheap parts thermostat doesn’t work. Kept emailing us for a 5 star rating. Wanted us to rate their ‘service’ that goes to a non Amazon site. We’ll admit they did give us $38 back for the non working thermostat. But that was the whole point in purchasing the unit. We have no trust in the unit & will not leave it on unattended. We will be replacing it with something different.

We have only used this once, for a 7 hour period when we lost power. Our house is wired to use generator power for everything but heat and the oven and dryer. Anyway, we plugged this in and set it 72. We were already at that temperature, so it basically maintained it for us. The fan is a bit on the weak side and I really needed to get up close after being outside to refill the generator. The warm air only travels about 2.5 feet, if that. It does, however, eventually warm the room. I'm not sure it would actually work for the advertised space, however. The flames look nice - we are traditionalists and prefer the yellow. It is purely a visual pleasure thing - the unit would work the same without it, but it is nice to see! Our generator did not use appreciably more gas running this unit and we stayed much warmer than we we had to use our small, parabolic dish heater. We have yet to build the outside to make it appear like an 'actual' fireplace, but it works fine as a stand alone unit for now.

It is beautiful. Just what I was hoping for. The heater/fireplace works great. Lots of heat. 7 different flame setting looks beautiful. I would highly recommend this and from this seller. Many times pushing the button doesn't turn the heat off. It takes three or four attempts before the button works. I was an electrician when I was in the Navy and I know electrical controls. The buttons on this heater are a type I haven't seen in decades. I suggest that homes with children or older people should not have these as failure of the button causes panic that may lead to an accident.

Really like the different color choices of flames. Heater works fine for us since we live in Florida we don't have the serious cold, but, I still wish that the set temperature would show on the screen. It does put out the heat - just don't know what temp we have it set to. I did contact customer support to ask if the temp was supposed to show on the screen & they were very nice to contact me back a few times (thru email) to make sure the heater was working. If you buy it - read the instructions. Remember to get the remote out of the packaging before you toss it - some people forget. Don't use a cheap household extension cord with it if the cord doesn't reach the outlet. Read the instructions about that! FIRE HAZARD! Take care & enjoy.

I replaced an original insert that I couldn't get parts for. I built a platform for the new insert to sit on in the old fireplace base. I also was able to use the original trim frame. Looks good and heats well. I like being able to set the temperature by single degrees. We have another electric fireplace, but the temperature is set in 5 degree increments.
