    • Generally good, one important thing to note
I've installed 2 of these now in our house to perform more localized cooling at night where we only use 2 rooms instead of cooling the entire house in the Florida heat. I'm pleased with the performance, noise & efficiency of the units, they install pretty easily and look decent enough (although the head units inside the house seem larger than some competitor units). However, I'm taking 1 star away for the cardboard templates they use, as they don't match the mounting bracket with any accuracy whatsoever. The first unit was off by about 1/4 inch, the second by even a touch more at about 5/16th. That doesn't seem like much, but when you go to screw in your wall anchors, they simply won't work being off that much. I taped the template to the wall, then held the bracket over the template to mark the appropriate drill marks. DOUBLE CHECK YOUR TEMPLATE WITH THE BRACKET BEFORE DRILLING!!!     • Definately Lower electricity cost than any other type of AC I've ever seen- Also efficient heating.
Splits ARE the way to go BTW but bear in mind you should watch some Youtube Videos etc beforehand and add the cost of vacuum pump, gage set and a definatley learning curve Oh and your time involved to Do it Right. If DIY you may not get the full warranty. And it will be an unusual HVAC installer willing to go with YOUR choice of equipment. ... show more

    • The two year warranty is a lie.
This has been a great product until it quit a year and four months in. It says it has a two year warranty seem to be not true. I have tried to contact the seller and the support team with one response back i sent them everything they ask for and haven't heard from them again. I sense contacted them two more times and the seller once with in the last month of January and into the first part of February of 2025. So i would probably buy from a different Seller and a different brand . ... show more

Blows cold in the summer and warm in the winter. Leverage an app to control remotely. Installation was easy and because it came pre-charged, didn't need to hire a HVAC tech to install. For the price, I think it's an excellent value.

I worked a little bit off and on with the installation of this Turbro 12K BTU Mini-Split unit over a period of about 2 weeks. Note: You'll have to evacuate the evaporator coils on the low pressure side (not the high side!). Most DYI installers will need some help to do this but fortunately we have a vacuum pump with our appliance business. The most difficult part was in knowing what type of breaker is needed for this particular unit's voltage rating. The product label on the outside unit calls for a 15a breaker. A search on the web didn't help so I called an electrician friend who told me the right one to get. It's shown in the 2nd picture. We're really pleased thus far with how quiet the unit is (both on the inside and outside.) Also, this unit helps to supplement our 20 yr old 2 ton Goodman central Heat & AC unit. Lastly, this particular unit has r410a Freon unlike the latest "Climate Change" requirements that's on all new home cooling systems which must have R-454B Freon. btw... R-454B is explosive! (But it is environmentally friendly. Huh?!) I hope this review will be a help. ... show more
