    • STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT!!!!

I ordered this chair as I am on a fixed income and I needed a chair I could easily lay back in and also elevate my feet while sitting. Judging from the reviews I ordered the chair. It arrived promptly with no damage to the packaging. However, once I decided to put the chair together I remembered what one reviewer stated how the back needs to be slid on in a certain way so I followed those instructions and everything seemed fine until I sat the chair upright and sat in it. The chair was leaning to the left. The seat and when I elevated the seat they both leaned dramatically to the side. I sat the chair on its side to see what the issue was and finally saw that whoever constructed this particular chair did not slide the connection from the levers coming from the seat into the slots located on the base of the chair, not only that, the slots at the base of the chair had been flattened to the point where you could not attempt to pry the area open. I was exhausted and in a lot of pain by this time and could not wrestle with the chair anymore. I called my son he could not loosen the area either. I couldn't risk sitting in the chair as is (too dangerous) so I contacted the seller via email and explained my frustration and disappointment. I also explained there was no way I could repackage the item and return it. My son lives out of town and was visiting at the time and I didn't want him to delay his rounds visiting all our family members while he was here returning a chair. After sending the email a week later I opened my door to see a large box on my porch. I had not ordered anything so I was shocked to see such a large box on my porch. My neighbor bought the box inside for me and I opened it to see a new chair from the company!!!! No billing, no request for a return of the broken chair (which was now in my garage), just the replacement chair which I was able to assemble with no problem and have enjoyed every since. No, it's not a top of the line recliner, but it sure feels like it to me! I thank this company SO MUCH for their compassion for those of us that cannot afford to replace or return items because we are disabled. We are not considered in a world made for the young and healthy. Most companies have ABSOLUTELY no programs or even attempt to understand the pain and struggle we have to deal with on an EVERYDAY basis. LARGE, RICH corporations! It's sad, 'cause you're healthy until you're sick. To have this company do this for me confirms Amazon attempts to deal with manufacturers that stand behind their products (TCL televisions is not one of them). Was pleasantly surprised upon seeing the noticeable size difference between this and the recliner it replaced. Assembly fairly easy although I still nearly managed to mess it up. Only a risky forceful maneuver solved it. The color offers a nice contrast to the area where it sits. I'm still getting accustomed to not need to find and pull a handle or lever to recline or close. The is one troubling issue, at least for me; this chair is very low. However, a separately purchased (and reviewed) item that just arrived today solved that immediately! ... show more

    • Tough to push back for weaker arms

I bought this chair to sleep in after my upcoming shoulder replacement. I've had several rotator cuff surgeries and sleeping propped up in bed didn't keep me comfortable or from rolling to my side during sleep. Since this is the end of the road for my shoulder repair I wanted to do it right. Doctors always recommended a recliner to sleep in.i bought this one for the price and because i probably won't keep it after my recovery. It was easy to assemble, came well packaged and within a week. It's small, stylish, and even my 6'1 170# husband is comfortable in it though he's a couple inches too tall when fully recilned. I'm 5'1, 135# and it's a perfect fit in every position. THE PROBLEM...pushing back to recliner takes quite bit of umph, which will be a lot of torque on my shoulder. I know I wouldn't be able to push it back after rotator cuff surgeries, I'm not sure if I'll be able to after shoulder replacement surgery. If this is purchased for post surgeries or elderly keep this in mind. ... show more

It is somewhat less comfortable than I expected. By far, The biggest problem is that it is rickety and is not level right to left. The foot support comes up tilted -that is out of level. The right side is higher than the left. I would not buy it again. Both of my grandsons did not like it because they are a bit too tall. The Granddaughters don't like it because their mother called it a child's chair. If it wasn't so rickety, it would be fine for me. It isn't used often as it is in our guest house so I can sit and watch TV with reasonable poor-boy comfort. The family simply doesn't like it. I would not buy it again. ... show more

I've had the chair for a month. It's decent for the price. It's already starting to creak a little though so I'm not sure how long it will hold up. I'd recommend it for a kid or a small to average-sized adult who can kind of treat it as disposable.
