It is a nice umbrella and feels like it will hold up. It isn't the rainy season yet, so it hasn't really been tested. I bought it for my seven year old, and the space scene looks beautiful and as pictured. Perfect for campus life. Small enough and light enough to throw in the backpack on cloudy days and you are fine when it rains. Easy to open and pretty easy close. I have had easier ones to close but this is more robust than some of the cheapest travel umbrellas. Ultimately the travel ones that are ultralight and ultracompact have ended up being ultraflimsy for me and destruct in the wind This one so far (knock on wood) seems much sturdies and has held up well in its first uses. ... show more

This umbrella surprised me by how well built it is. It's strong and has helped me get through an unusually rainy spring and summer. I didn't own an umbrella previously because we typically don't get enough rain to need one. But this year I had to break down and buy this one because of the unusual weather. It's made it through a marble sized hail storm with me! Granted, I was able to seek shelter indoors for most of it, it did take a handful of hail-hits and also would have broken/blown inside out if it wasn't as well made as it is. The design and materials of this umbrella are premium. AND my favorite part is the style - I purchased the black umbrella with blue skies underneath and it makes me smile each time I open it. LOVE this umbrella! It’s durable and holds up against strong winds. On a trip, our friend purchased a new umbrella, but it broke right away, meanwhile our Tumella umbrella stayed intact. Love the pouch, love the press to open and press to collapse feature. Also, the first set I received had a broken piece.
