  • Perfect upgrade for my situat6ion
I upgraded from an MSI Aero 2080 Ti blower card, which was a decent card for my needs, but the fans were very loud. At the time of purchase, I also picked up a Corsair RM1000x Shift 1000 Watt power supply unit. Basic Rig Specs: -AS-Rock Z390 Phantom Gaming 4 Mobo -i9-9900K -32GB DDR4 RAM -Rosewill Photon 750 Watt PSU(Upgraded to 1000w PSU referenced above) -Windows 10 Monitor Setup: -LG 43UK6300 4K(@60Hz) TV -Sansui ES-G27C1 WQHD 2560x1440p Monitor@180Hz This is a great upgrade, especially for those in my exact situation, with approximately 5 year old hardware. Had I gone with 5080 or 5090, I may have left more performance on the table as the Z390 mobo is only PCI Gen 3. However, when I decide to upgrade my motherboard/chipset, this card will swap over nicely, and I can take advantage of the performance gains of PCI Gen 4. The card is extremely quiet, especially compared to the 2080 Ti blower card I had previously. There was a time when I thought the fans weren't working properly because it seemed almost too quiet, but everything was running properly. I tend to play two types of games predominantly, First Person Shooter games(both campaign and multiplayer...so CoD, Borderlands, the Finals, etc) and Action RPG & Soulslike games(Elden Ring, Dark Souls, Remnant 2, Black Myth Wukong, Lies of P, Lords of the Fallen(2023), Nioh/Wo Long, God of War, Witcher 3, etc). On one hand, I want smooth 1440p high refresh gaming, and on the other hand I want stable 4K@60Hz. While my old card would output at max settings on most games, it would run hot, and by all indications it would be running on the edge of its performance limits. Distant textures would struggle a bit in Elden Ring, for example. This card handles both game types with no issues so far, and it feels like I have a lot of headroom to grow into with this card. That can be looked at as either a card that will handle the advances in gaming over the next 5 years, or headroom for advanced tuning(overclocking and other measures) on current or past titles. Also worth mentioning that this is one of the best looking cards ever made, in my opinion, and I think it looks great in my case. That being said it, it is a huge card, and I've included a picture to show the size difference from the 2080ti. I believe it was 2.5 slots, and you're going to want to install the included GPU support, because it is heavy. As far as value goes, this is one of the better cards when it comes to price to performance, and although I'm always looking for the best price, I'm a gaming enthusiast, so I'm willing to splurge a little bit to get what I really want. I bought the card in December 2023, and I'm writing this in September 2025, so I've had time to play 100s of hours on the card. Borderlands 4 just released, and I'm having issues running the game in 4K(minor issues that will likely be fixed with patches from the developer, game has been out for less than 1 week at the time of this review), but this doesn't bother me as even the best cards are having issues running 60FPS in 4K@60Hz in BL4. I just switched to 1440p, and it runs great on BL4 now! For the most part, the card will handle whatever I throw at it, it's just a matter of fine tuning the games specific settings. I have not over clocked or run the card at anything other than base settings. I would recommend this card if you're in a similar situation as me, or if you have new hardware and you're looking for a good gpu that can handle everything, something like this or the 5070 Ti now would be a great option! ... show more

  • I Love It! No Issues
I've now owned this 4070 ti for 6 months and was put into my very first build. Out of the box, the 4070 ti was perfect and has had zero issues thus far. No coil whine, no heat issues, no problems at all. It's sleek and fits well in my Lian Li o11 Dynamic XL (uses 3 slots with plenty of space left). The big concern I had initially was with the 12gb 192-bit memory it was fixed with. I will state that I was incorrect and have not run into a big issue with quality concerns running at my usual 2560x1440 (I am using two 1440p monitors/170ghz each). I play Apex Legends, COD, NBA 2K, DAYZ, Fortnite, and more. All games didn't push that 12gb to a level of concern or come up short on performance. I also frame-lock to my refresh rate of 170ghz and in all games but Fortnite I achieve that 170fps (Fortnite is 100-130fps). I will note that all games are put on max settings or very near max settings. I will end with the fact I've also tried this at 4k output with a 4k monitor and it still ran superbly, though there was a slight dip in frames. My main components are this 4070 ti, an i7 13700k CPU, MSI Z790 Tomahawk Pro board, and two sticks of 16gb GSkill Trident Z5, just so you have an idea of my setup. I highly recommend this for a 2k and most 4k output setups. ... show more

  • Runs every single AAA game on Epic details by 2024
An excellent video card to run self-hosted AI and play top level video games at Epic detail quality. It's a 34cm card that takes 2 vertical slots, consider your physical case and surrounding things to inject this monolith. You can ignore any benchmark, the card will have a much higher performance obviously... and at least 60fps every game. I'm not an RGB guy, but the lights give a decorative touch to your cabinet that will tempt you to add more colored toys. Do not forget that it will require 3 connectors of 8pins of a decent power supply 700w and up ... show more

  • A huge beauty
It's huge. Nearly 4090 size. It doesn't leave much room between it and my aio radiator at the front of my corsair 7000d airflow. It didnt leave even an inch in my old midtower atx case between it and my old aio radiator. Measure your case! Price is steep but more affordable than the 4080 or 4090 and runs beautifully. Its massive heatsink and large fans keep it running below 65c in my rig at full load. This brand keeps it cooler than the rest out there. ... show more

  • Beautiful card
I love this graphic card so much, I run every game I play on max settings and the temps of the Gpu don’t go above like 55-60 no matter the game. It could also be because I have like 10 fans in my pc but the games I play look sooo much better then what it use to be with my old pc. From a 2080 to a 4070ti I love it. Definitely worth the purchase. It is a big card keep that in mind too and I recommend a stand so it doesn’t sag. ... show more

  • Huge, but quiet and great performance
I grabbed this card to replace a 3080ti from eVGA that kept having fan issues (replaced all 3 fans on my FTW3 at 25 a pop, and now those are starting to fail). Performance is about the same for me, expected at 1440p where either card is overkill for the majority of games. I did notice that Cyberpunk seems to be more consistent with less frame drops. Where this thing is shining right now is the power consumption and the noise under load. My previous (EVGA 3080ti FTW3) would quickly approach 80c under load, spinning up all 3 fans to max power. This provided effective cooling, but also made my mid tower sound like it was getting ready to take off from PDX. The Strix 4070ti, by comparison, has bigger fans and a larger shroud. It's staying much cooler. I have yet to see this card break 70c under the same load. As a result, the noise level from the fans is almost nonexistent compared to the EVGA card, and my room also feels noticeably cooler... I should have waited until Spring to do this :D Good purchase, and likely to make me look more heavily at ASUS GPU offerings in the future, where I normally stayed with brands known for the GPU instead of other parts in the past. ... show more
