How do you buy an umbrella? One that covers you when it's raining, and you don't have to stand in the rain to close it before getting in the car or store. Of course if it holds up and doesn't flip, that's a bonus. I found Tumella and I can't say enough good things about this umbrella! Just the right size! I never had an umbrella that closed with a button! We had a couple days without rain so I tried it out. It opened just right and then it closed but there was something that didn't look right. I had read the story about the company and sent an email with my question. Customer service responded immediately with kind professionalism. They determined the problem from photos and sent a new umbrella within a couple days! Customer service followed up to make sure all was right. For my experience the quality of this umbrella just ranked higher than I can say. I bought 2 of these. They seem very sturdy and keeps the rain off. Unfortunately both umbrellas are extremely difficult close. The button does open and close the fabric part but we have to place the fabric side down on a hard surface to be able to push it completely down and back to the compact size. It is very sturdy. My daughter,s actually turn inside out with the wind and it did not break. ... show more

This umbrella has a very pretty design and I feel like it is very heavy duty quality which I love! Because of it being so durable, it is slightly heavier than your average compact umbrella, but it’s definitely worth it for those windy and stormy days. Even though it is a compact umbrella, it’s not as compact as other umbrellas are, but this is due to it being made from very heavy duty and durable materials along with it being a very wide diameter once it is opened. I was instantly impressed with how sturdy and reliable this umbrella feels. The open/close button feature works so smoothly, and when I tested the “bend-in,” the material held strong without feeling flimsy. I bought this for my 8-year-old son to use for golf, and while we haven’t tested it in windy weather yet, I wouldn’t be surprised if it holds up beautifully. What really stood out was the personal touch — a thoughtful letter from Annelies, the owner, along with a picture of her family. This umbrella looks nice and is great quality. It keeps me dry in the rain. I had no issues with it in the wind. It also works for shade on hot sunny days. It opens and closes without any problems. The cover bag is nice. It can toss it in my tote bag and be easily prepared for rainy afternoons.
