It has consistently lived up to its reputation and the high ratings in every category. After a long period of use, my umbrella developed an issue and would no longer stay open. Since the product comes with a lifetime warranty, I contacted customer service to see what options were available. I was amazed by how quickly Gen from Tumella Customer Care responded. The process was simple, professional, and hassle-free. After I provided a short video showing the issue, they immediately arranged a replacement under the lifetime warranty. I’ve relied on Tumella umbrellas for a long time, and they’ve consistently impressed me with how sturdy and reliable they are. I originally bought two because the quality truly stood out, and they’ve handled heavy rain and strong winds without any issues. Recently, one of them stopped opening, which honestly surprised me because these umbrellas are built so well. I checked the lifetime warranty paper that came with it and immediately emailed Tumella with a video of the issue. Dear Annelies, This is a 5 star product in every sense of the word. The umbrellas is built strong, yet aesthetic and will serve my purposes for a very long time. With the letter you sent along with the package you said that if I ever have a problem with the umbrella drop you a note on your customer service support line and you’ll send me another one!!!! I’m not writing you on your support line because there is anything wrong with my umbrella. I’m writing to say thank you!!!! I’m in Los Angeles where it truthfully only rains a few times a year, if that. We are a desert. However, over the last few days we’ve had a rain storm, pretty significant for this town. And my umbrella quit functioning. Of course I went to Amazon, I looked around and I found your Tumella and was instantly impressed by the video of the wind tunnel and the umbrella’s strength. Again, not that I need a heavy duty umbrella, it only rains a little in Los Angeles. But I was impressed with how far you went in trying to make a very good product. Something better, more durable, more reliable than the mass market. You wanted to be better than the rest for the sake of the customer!!! This stuck with me. So I purchased it. And by the time it arrived we were still experiencing rain and I got to use my Tumella to my sheer delight. It works perfectly. But all of the above is the lesser reason of why I am writing to you. The envelope you included with the umbrella was so fantastically cute and adorable, I was instantly compelled to write to you. The letter, the font used, the picture of the family, your story of how and why you made this product, was so over the top cute I was thrilled at your extreme desire to make your customer happy. And the fact you were willing to send me a new one if this one somehow stopped performing…just melted me!!!!! This is so very unique in the age of fast, disposable, low quality merchandise. Such a breath of fresh air from an a commercial or industrial viewpoint. I have no idea who you are and I am, of course a total stranger to you. But you, your story, your product, your ability to make a superior product over the rest of the market, and your letter including your beautiful photo of your 5 kids!!! Good umbrella. Did its job, kept me dry. I guess I misread the dimensions - that’s on me, it doesn’t extend very high, so I felt like I had to keep all my things I wanted to keep dry very close. Also I’m not sure if mine is defective; however, the wind flipped it the instant it hit the umbrella. It was not an isolated one time event, anytime I had to talk against the wind, if it was tilted just the slightest bit, the wind grabbed it and flipped it inside out. It is very pretty. The outward facing side is black and the underneath is very bright, cheery and colorful. Even on a dark and dreary rainy day, it’s whimsical and colorful. Does fit in the holder of my backpack nicely. It’s a little longer than I was expecting, again that is on me for not fully reading the dimensions. I think it is priced reasonably, it does what an umbrella is supposed to do. I’ve only used it for rain; however, it looks pretty versatile and would be a good sun block. Light enough it doesn’t add to my already heavy bag. It comes with its own sleeve with a Velcro closure. I’m so impressed with both the quality of this umbrella and the company’s customer service. The umbrella is beautiful, very sturdy, and clearly made with excellent craftsmanship. It feels durable enough to handle strong wind and rain while still looking elegant. I originally purchased one in 2025, and after using it for quite a while, I had an issue where I could no longer fold it properly. I contacted the company to let them know because I truly loved the umbrella. They responded almost immediately, and to my surprise, they shipped me a replacement right away.
