  • Simple, Effective, and Comfortable
Item Package Quantity: 1
Easy on... Solid protection... Lightweight fit

  • Walk around outside with confidence
Item Package Quantity: 1
These are a very rigid and a lot more comfortable than they look. On me, at least, they do rub a bit much on the insides of my knees when wearing shorts. It probably wouldn't be an issue with pants on. When I get around to it I think I might heat the parts that rub and bend them out a bit. A heat gun or blowdryer would do it. They look like they would last a lifetime and they would probably stand up to just about any snake except an Anaconda, lol. They would be great for leg protection while weedeating, etc. ... show more

  • I feel secure.
Item Package Quantity: 1
These things are VERY easy to put on. I feel safe when I am wearing them. Nothing to snag when walking through dense brush. What's not to like? And they feel like they will last a long time. There is an another, similar, product out there but I went with these because of the reviews.

  • Great, durable product overall.
Item Package Quantity: 1
They are easy to put on/take off, are durable, and are taller than most snake boots - which gives added protection. I spend a LOT of time outdoors and am constantly running into copperheads, water moccasins, and timber rattlesnakes - so these shin protectors give me great protection/peace of mind. You can use them with regular boots/shoes and they are a LOT cheaper than snake boots. I have several pairs of snake boots and they usually only last about a year of heavy use - VERY expensive compared to Tuff Shins! I also plan to use them when I'm weed eating and working around our hobby farm. The only thing that needs to be improved is the noise factor for hunting. These are quiet walking through grass or weeds, but if you get into brush, briars, etc., they are very noisy. I recommend Tuff Shins develops a "quiet set" for hunting. I plan to purchase a can of rubberized spray or bed truck liner to put on the front surface of mine to cut down on the noise of walking through the woods/thick brush. ... show more

  • Well made, good coverage, flexible.
Item Package Quantity: 1
I ordered these to go along with my timberlands for snake hunting, I remove venomous snakes from properties and relocate them, These work great both to keep hard brush off me but have complete coverage on my leg I haven't had to test how well they work with venomous snakes (and likely won't for years) But fangs aren't getting past these puppies. Very strong and light, once you get used to them you don't even remember they are there. They are uncomfortable if you don't have boots on or a shoe with a strongly structured shape as they will rest on the top of the shoe and sag really low. but with my tims for example they just become part of it. they cover the knee but not the back of it so you have range of movement, and shape over the shoe to give 100% coverage. I like that water doesn't get stick in them too. The big con IMO is that they warp odly and are uncomfortable when you kneel, but that's a small downside. And your calves WILL get sweaty wearing them, but they're PPE, what PPE doesn't cause awkward sweatting? ... show more

  • These leggings will do the job.
Item Package Quantity: 1
These leggings are light weight, fit snuggly on your legs, give you 100% protection from the top of your boot laces to your knees. I use then primarily to protect my legs from scrapes and cuts when I am in the woods or working around tractors and farm equipment. I have a skin condition where my skin tears very easily and these leggings give me great protection. I have never used them for snake bite protection but feel sure they will do that job 100% also. They wrap around your legs and will stay in place all day what ever you are doing except getting up and down off your knees. I recommend them 100%. ... show more

  • Keepers. Update to 5 stars.
Item Package Quantity: 1
Although I haven't used these very much so far, I think this is a worthwhile product, and just what I was looking for at a decent price. I needed snake protection for hiking, but they will be helpful when weed whacking, too. I'm going to try them on my motorcycle, because I was also looking for additional protection there. Of course they will probably be a little warm in the summer, and being a single hard piece for each leg doesn't allow as much movement in upper or lower areas, but after wearing them for a while, it is tolerable. For long hikes, it would be best to wear them over pants or long socks. You should probably hike in long pants, anyway. The overlapping on the leg makes an easy-on, easy-off, operation. Just open them up and snap them on. And I also like the way they overlap close to the arch of my sneakers/shoes/boots. I am average male size, and I probably won't need further adjustments or trimmings around the yard. Update: I made a mistake of not wearing these on a neighborhood walk 6 months ago and got a severe dog bite. If I had these on, I would have been safer. I have now used these on walks, hiking trails, bicycling, motorbiking, and yard trimmimg. Easy on and off. Still in new condition. They are tough! Expensive, but paying for the cost. Among best money I have spent. ... show more
