Altra is fantastic, that said the sizing on the gaiter was less than obvious. Safe to say order down, unless you have some thicker stilts you are running on. I ordered a large, as that is the size I tend to fit best in most any other items (shirt, short, gloves, socks etc...). That said, I found that these in a (Lg) were loose fitting around my calves/ankle and will be of little use to me. Unfortunately the return window has elapsed so I have me some sweet sock covers. :-) ... show more

These need a cinch strap, elastic, or velcro. The narrow top portion is very small and does not fit over my heel when barefoot. It seems like an OK product and should keep dust or rocks out but also the material is very thin. There is nothing to keep the gaiter up and I expect the flimsy material will just sag, but then I was not able to try them since they will not fit on my feet. ... show more

I bought two pairs of Altra shoes and love them. Wide toebox very comfortable awesome for outdoorsman, yard work ect. I was getting rocks and dirt in and around my ankles. These work awesome! No complaints other than the price! If they weren’t so expensive I would probably have a few pairs.

I’ve been using these on a size 10.5 Ultra Lone Peak 6 and they fit just fine. They stay in place and keep debris from getting into my shoes. Not too tight and not too loose.

These aren't for mud, snow, or water. They are to keep those highly annoying little pieces of plant debris and rocks out of your socks and shoes when you run trails. I use them on every run. If you don't have Altra shoes, clean the back of your shoe with a little rubbing alcohol and stick a velcro tab about halfway up. It will stay stuck for months at least, and that and the front hook are all you need. When you remove them, peel the velcro carefully from the heel so as not to disturb the adhesive velcro patch. I only wash and dry these by hand now. The metal hook got stuck on a vent hole in my dryer, and as the drum continued to turn the hook got ripped off. Having velcro in the dryer often results in damage fabrics anyway. I will find a way to reattach the hook, but after each dirty run these now get washed with a bit of dish soap in the sink and air dried. More color options would be nice. ... show more
